Mentor Summons You

Does anyone have any good way of pulling people into HQ? I have been itching to get my friends to play and thought it would be fun to give them an actual summons from Mentor. I simply took the intro from the quest book and printed it on some fancy shmancy paper in of course HeroQuest font. But that's not all folks! I went the extra mile and sealed it with wax. But it gets even better! I used Mentors seal on it so that way it is 100% authentic when I handed it to them. Is this :geek: or :ugeek:. Anyone else like this idea. It made me smile when I thought about it and finally got around to delivering them today.

Now all I have to do is set up a time to get everyone together and let the smashing begin! |_P |_P

Either that or they will shun you forever. But still, wear the cape.

Well I was actually disappointed in one of the deliveries. One friend wasn't impressed with it and gave me a reaction akin to disappointment. Most people were confused by it and I had to explain to them what it was. :| Aside from that I'm hoping that when we get together it will be better. When we do play I'll make sure to get some picture goodness in on it. Glad others seemed to enjoy it. Guess my friends geek level has dropped greatly over the years. I am still :ugeek:

Wow! That is incredible! Too bad you friends couldn't handle the extreme level of awesomeness.
I would be honored to receive such a letter!

By the way, if I recall correctly, Mentor actually signs his name in a freehand type font.
Just saying... :ugeek:

Out of all my friends I seem to be the only one who has true geek left in them. I mean we will still occasionally play MTG and other games but I was the one who memorized info tables for the group. Sarcasm: My inner geek however draws the line at playing dress-up-in-costume. I mean that's just weird and disturbing; why would anyone want to be that geeky? I'm looking at someones forum avatar. /Sarcasm I myself never have been interested in that but some people make good costumes.

I thought about that but didn't want to switch fonts. I just looked through the quest and instruction booklets and didn't see any script signature :p. So it appears nobody signs their name in my HQ universe.

I was pretty certain I'd seen Mentor's signature somewhere... Had to browse through the manuals for a while but there it was... At the conclusion to Frozen Horror (And probably also Mage of the Mirror).
