I've read all the books, including getting the last few on their release dates, and doing things like skipping work to read straight through.

Just got season 1 on DVD yesterday (in my Easter basket.) If it's half as good as the book, I'm sure I'll love it.

man i wish peter cottontail would bring me season 1. I bought a house targareyn t-shirt for my Girlfreind and a house stark for me, 25 bucks each, Not too bad to let your house beknown. Alot of people here in MN are playing the card game i might give it a shot, I think the show skips quite abit atleast in book one .But hbo really captures the adult nature of the story which i think they are the only network that could even air the story. I'm counting down the days till sundays when they will air a new episode. i catch myself wishing each episode will keep going on. The theme song is also radical, I heard a heavy Metal version on you tube which i thought was rad . I know that theaon greyjoy is shady and bran becomes some sort of soul jumper but from there we'll see.

Haven't read the books, and I'm sure they're better, but love the first series and loving the second

I watched season one almost straight through. I was very impressed. Casting was good. Characters remained very much in the spirit of the books. Nicely executed. They did a great job ending the episodes on appropriate dramatic moments as well.

Definitely agree there; was very impressed considering it was handled with american TV backing.. normally they gut the story horrendously. Additionally the pan-atlantic spread of US, Canadian and UK actors has been great.

Looking forward to season 2, and listening to Tyrion Lannister lines. Definitely gets the lions share of classic wit.
