Ignore what I said about the secondary mission not being shown when the alien event card comes up. It was a different alien event, I think it was new orders. What does that do? I don't remember that one. I think there was at least one other I didn't recognise. Have you added some new ones?

The direction facing problem wasn't with the tarantula, I think it was the missile launcher. I could fire if I came at the square from a certain direction I think but I'm not entirely sure. It was in a dreadnought factory. It might have been because of another problem I've noticed. When you're standing next to the last square of a wall you can't target diagonally past the wall but I think aliens can and weapons like the plasma/fusion/conversion guns can.

I had that same crash again, twice. The second time was a different factory and with the blood angels when the second one went in. I think it might be the tarantula that's doing it, maybe because it was half in and half out.

A dreadnought killed a tarantula gunner with a score of three when he should have had an armour value of four.

With the tarantula I noticed that the red shaded square firing arc starts from the gun and not the gunner which is the least versatile arc interpretation but even though a dreadnought was in a shaded square (just one corner of it though) the circle was dark meaning I couldn't target it, so the shaded squares graphic and the circles graphic doesn't quite match up. I should have tried shooting it as a test but there was another dready and I couldn't waste a shot. :)

Sometimes distant dreadnoughts get stuck and give up their movement after the screen centres on them. This affects all the distant dreadnoughts at the same time but not the ones in sight of a marine.

The time when the dreadnought got stuck in the factory it was ready to go. I don't know if it had its weapons but it should have been able to move. I don't think this is the same as the last issue because it wasn't some distance away.

I had an indestructible dreadnought for two turns. I scored over four two turns in a row with the UM tarantula but nothing happened. It then killed the gunner and when a put a new marine on the tarantula I was able to kill it.

I couldn't target a genestealer with a bolter in a corridor when I was diagonally adjacent to it. I had to attack it in h-t-h.

Happened again with no tarantula this time. There was only the IP plasmagun in the factory and the IP assault cannon outside the door. I didn't get that crash at all to start with and now I get it every bloody time. Do you know what causes it so I can still play before the next update?

This time I had a dreadnought in my tarantula sights (just one square of it) with the shaded red square and a bright circle and I scored five but didn't hurt it.

Some of these are going to seem quite picky so just ignore whatever you think doesn't really matter:

This time it looked like a dreadnought got me with a missile launcher scoring a two. I know you said that it overides the dice with other dice so it might not be a bug as such but it looks like one.

I know what new order does, it gives you a new order. I was waiting for a new objective. I thought it might be a randomised secondary secondary mission. There's an idea for a new alien event.

I don't think mothership scan works.

I don't think the marines can move diagonally straight after opening a door either.

Tarantula gunners can't open doors that they're next to. I suppose they could if they let go of the tarantula. I didn't think of that.

I think when a marine with a heavy weapon takes the tarantula he should still move four.

The tarantulas look like they take up one square. I think a barrel extension would work well because it would make them look better any and more like the boardgame ones.

There was an blip that was borderline out of sight so I couldn't see what it was and when another blip moved into sight from another direction it revealed both androids at the same time.

Dreadnought reinforcements can be placed half way through a door.

Dreadnoughts can fight in h-t-h when that at stage one of being built.

Items appear in different boxes depending on the chapter.

Aliens move away from marines that have used blind grenades instead of chasing after them.

When they assault cannon fires manually by clicking on the box it should give an option to reroll the lowest dice or not so that you can decide whether to gamble.

The dreadnoughts with four weapons would look so much cooler if both the missile launchers were at the front and the other two guns were at the back.

Wow, lots more stuff to get through. :)

I haven't added any new alien events however some have been slightly modified. For example, New orders in the board game let's the player pick an order card whereas the PC game randomly gives one to a squad.

I'll have a look into the shooting past the corner of a wall issue.

The game crash that occurs in the dread factory happens when the 2nd marine from the same squad stops in the factory. It will only happen when there are partially built dreads in the factory. I'll upload a fixed version this weekend.

The tarantula firing arc is just a visual representation of where the tarantula can fire. Where it can actually fire is dependant on LOS from the gunner position. I'll change the firing arc to show only those squares that actually have LOS to the gunner.

I couldn't target a genestealer with a bolter in a corridor when I was diagonally adjacent to it. - Is this the same issue as the shooting past the corner of a wall problem?

I don't think mothership scan works. - What about this event doesn't work. Did you right click on a board with blips and the blips didn't reveal?

I think when a marine with a heavy weapon takes the tarantula he should still move four. - Is this because the heavy weapon marine only had 4 moves beforehand and you think he should continue to move 4 with the tarantula?

Dreadnoughts can fight in h-t-h when that at stage one of being built. - Was this while they were still in the dread factory getting built or after the dread factory had been shut down?

When they assault cannon fires manually by clicking on the box it should give an option to reroll the lowest dice or not so that you can decide whether to gamble. - Do you mean reroll the dice due to the targetter? The game automatically rerolls the dice if you score 0.

The game crash that occurs in the dread factory happens when the 2nd marine from the same squad stops in the factory. It will only happen when there are partially built dreads in the factory. I'll upload a fixed version this weekend. - Ah right. I can work around that.

I couldn't target a genestealer with a bolter in a corridor when I was diagonally adjacent to it. - Is this the same issue as the shooting past the corner of a wall problem? - Nope. This was in the middle of a crowded corridor, an actual corridor tile.

I don't think mothership scan works. - What about this event doesn't work. Did you right click on a board with blips and the blips didn't reveal? - Whenever I right click on a board no blips show up. This might be because of my custom mission that's all I've played since I made it. I still haven't managed to complete it. I made it a bit too hard and I'm determined to complete it.

I think when a marine with a heavy weapon takes the tarantula he should still move four. - Is this because the heavy weapon marine only had 4 moves beforehand and you think he should continue to move 4 with the tarantula? - Exactly.

Dreadnoughts can fight in h-t-h when that at stage one of being built. - Was this while they were still in the dread factory getting built or after the dread factory had been shut down? - When they were still being built I think. It seems strange that they can fight at the first stage of development.

When they assault cannon fires manually by clicking on the box it should give an option to reroll the lowest dice or not so that you can decide whether to gamble. - Do you mean reroll the dice due to the targetter? The game automatically rerolls the dice if you score 0. - But you might want to reroll a 1 or 2. It would be better if you could select any targets as normal with the assault cannon as well as the option to just fire it and see.

More:

When I had the plasma version of the combiweapon selected the um commander was standing behind a target but there was no crosshair over him. I don't know if they plasmagun would of attacked him or not though.

An 'are you sure' message on the exit box in game and in the editor might be an idea. I accidently clicked on it last night. :x

You can target the rear squares of dreadnoughts. I was standing next to one with a missile launcher and was able to safely shhot it by targeting a back square.

When you select randon music for a mission it would be good if the music randonly selected again after each play through.

I definitely think fire and move it should only allow the tarantula to fire and move once.

Conversions beamers can't target bulkheads. This makes sense with the way they fire but can't plasma/fusion guns target them? Maybe not, if not igore this one.

Genestealer in corridor - So the genestealer was diagonal to the marine, but there were also other aliens adjacent to the marine? If this is the case then the reason you can't target the genestealer is due to the way LOS works in that the 2 aliens adjacent to the marine are blocking the genestealer from view.

Something doesn't sound right about the way you say Mothership scan works. If the Mothership scan event appears, you right click on a board. If there are any blips on that board, they are revealed. No new blips appear.

Tarantula 4 moves - Why should the marine be limited to 4 moves? He drops his heavy weapon to man the tarantula and so can now move his unencumbered 6 moves. I always interpreted the tarantula having 6 moves because it's legs helped the marine move it around.

Dreadnaughts fight while being built - This comes from the MD rulebook. As soon as the top half of the dread is built, it can now move and fire with Bolters. I adjusted this so that the dread stays in the place it's being built so it can gain it's heavy weapons but it will attack any marine that gets close to it.

Combi weapon not targetting - Sometimes you have to switch modes on the combi weapon (e.g. if you are in Plasma mode, change to Bolter then back to plasma) for it to catch every target. If this doesn't help, then this is definitely a bug.

Target rear squares of dread - I allowed this as I think the marines get wiped out enough without a tiny bit of help. I started a mission and a Dread X wiped out all my marines on the first turn except for one who was hiding around a corner. :(

Random music - The music should cycle randomly each play through. I just tested this by starting a mission, quitting it and then selecting the mission again and different music played each time. It can happen that the same piece of music is played more than once in a row due to the random factor. This is like when you consistently roll zeros when trying to shoot that dread. :)

The Conversion beamer can shoot bulkheads, you just have to choose the correct direction when pressing the Fire beamer button. For the plasma and fusion guns, a target should appear next to the bulkhead for you to shoot them with.

If this is the case then the reason you can't target the genestealer is due to the way LOS works in that the 2 aliens adjacent to the marine are blocking the genestealer from view. - The genestealer was the only alien but I think it was completely surrounded.

Something doesn't sound right about the way you say Mothership scan works. If the Mothership scan event appears, you right click on a board. If there are any blips on that board, they are revealed. No new blips appear. - Oh yea, oops. I thought it put blips on a board you hadn't been to. I remember now.

Tarantula 4 moves - Why should the marine be limited to 4 moves? He drops his heavy weapon to man the tarantula and so can now move his unencumbered 6 moves. I always interpreted the tarantula having 6 moves because it's legs helped the marine move it around. - In the instructions it said that tarantulas are fitted with suspensors, but if the heavy weapon the marine is also carrying isn't then he should move four I think.

- Okay, it just seems odd that it can fight back at the first stage of being built because the graphics make it look like it shouldn't be able to defend itself.

Combi weapon not targetting - Sometimes you have to switch modes on the combi weapon (e.g. if you are in Plasma mode, change to Bolter then back to plasma) for it to catch every target. If this doesn't help, then this is definitely a bug. - I'll try that next time and let you know.

Target rear squares of dread - I allowed this as I think the marines get wiped out enough without a tiny bit of help. I started a mission and a Dread X wiped out all my marines on the first turn except for one who was hiding around a corner. - I don't think it makes that much of a difference for balance but it does wrong that you can target squares that are out of sight.

- I meant each playthrough of a music track. :)

The Conversion beamer can shoot bulkheads, you just have to choose the correct direction when pressing the Fire beamer button. For the plasma and fusion guns, a target should appear next to the bulkhead for you to shoot them with. - Yes it does. It doesn't work diagonally for those weapons though. Also the standard weapons can target a bulkhead when it's along the same wall that they're standing. I think they should have to move to the other side of the corridor to target a door.

Some more:

I couldn't use close assault to attack in h-t-h and then shoot. I had to shoot first then h-t-h.

Tarantulas can't blow themselves up. In fact they probably shouldn't be able to target those squares.

Tarantulas can target bulkheads that are well outside their firing arc. I destroyed one that was at a right angle.

An abomination class dreadnought reinforcement got stuck on the squares that it entered the board on and didn't wake up until I got within range, then it moved so I was in sight and killed three marines.

I always seem to roll low when it really matters.

An option where you can have reinforcements appear as blips would be nice, just as an option though.

An option to change or remove the time limit would be good as well.

I've got a couple of suggestions for new optional custom content that should be relatively straight forward to put in.

Chaos commanders that can have the other two weapons or a random one and can have 1-6 life points, maybe more. This would make killing one a really good objective.

An option of two more chaos marines, one with an assault cannon and one with a las cannon. The AI for these two weapons already exists with the dreadnaughts and that would make chaos squads the same size as the other marine squads.

Prototype androids, black sprites, movement 6, armour value 3, otherwise the same. Maybe there could be an option to change each standard one to a prototype or a seperate option for blips and reinforcements so both types could be used together. Prototypes could even be made in the factories. There could be a dreadnaught/android/both option for each one.

The option to give chaos squads orders and equipment.

The ability to place doors/bulkheads in the middle of corridors.

What do you think? I'm hoping you like them enough to put them in the next update. :)

Tarantula 4 moves - But to man the tarantula, the marine doesn't keep his heavy weapon, he drops it. That's why he ends up with a Bolter whenever he detaches from it.

Close Assault, fire then melee. - This is how I've always interpreted this order. I see it as the marines firing into the aliens before charging them.

Bulkhead targetting - I'll look to fixing the LOS targetting for these.

Close Assault, fire then melee. - This is how I've always interpreted this order. I see it as the marines firing into the aliens before charging them. - I think the order says they can fire and attack in h-t-h, not fire then attack in h-t-h. I don't think it has to be that way round.
