Is there anyone who can help by cleaning the icons from the map?
I can provide a high resolution png file of Rogar's Hall map (check the sample jpg below) but the icons need to be cleaned from the background and saved as a transparent png file or, even better, a vectorized EPS.
So anyone can create new quests with the new layout too.
PS: font used for the new layout is CARTER SANS W01 BOLD

Nice work, I look forward to seeing these in HeroScribe someday, sorry I can't help with this particular project at this time...

Anyone else working on this? What program is best?

I would point out that fairly recently, Avalon Hill's page posted the Rulebook in PDF format that also includes the complete Game System questbook in the same file... meaning we have images of all the icons now, not just the ones in Rogar's Hall here

(see the "instructions" link on the right underneath the "where to buy" button). This file was formerly on the Hasbro "Customer Care" page under game instructions but has since been placed exclusively on the Avalon Hill page.

Looks like the stuff we need is most easily accessible on pages 7, 8, 10 (hero icons) and 30 (blank quest with furniture, traps and monsters).

Thanks lestodante for bringing me here from this thread. Good work so far!

Big thanks for the hard work on finally get these out there.

Kudos to Josh @ Endless Adventure's Ko-Fi shop! (thanks Jonesy) |_P

Even though I prefer the classic icons, if someone converted these to a usable icon pack for HeroScribe, that would be a dream come true for at least a few people I'm sure.

Of course the best would be for someone to release a version of HeroScribe that let's you choose between the three formats... NA, EU and Remake, substituting the proper icons in for the 2021 version. Otherwise you'd basically have to re-create each quest from scratch.

Plus, the Remake has the different background, so there's something that could be done as well. Obviously a big ask saying code your own remake of Heroscribe these days... still, it's progress for those who want to use them!

The above pack is pretty cool but I see it is missing the icon for the "Dread Warrior" (this can be found in the PDFs of the Game System quest book, released by Hasbro on the Avalon Hill Heroquest page under the order page, and combined with the 2021 Rulebook).

Also the Weapons Rack image is clipped on the top and bottom.

The Alchemist Bench icon is accurate to the Hasbro game, but as pointed out in the Errata thread, the "scales" are on the wrong side, not matching the actual model included with the game (the icon is wrong in every single released Remake map so far).

Here's my best attempt at creating an icon for the Dread Warrior.
I tried to match the same green used in other ones created by Josh.
The second one uses the same green from the icon in the first post.
Hope it helps.

Am I the only one that hates the new look? I’d rather have an Abomination icon that looks like the old format rather than everything the other way around. New exclusives in the old format, i.e. the new Quests Books and new Heroes…

anyone can visit HeroScribe and adapt the icons to a readable format by HeroScribe I believe. But making it an actual switch would require coding a new version of the program. I can see people who want to use the Abomination as a unique monster (or the dragon) could just swap in those icons.

Haven't done this myself, if it's possible without coding ability..
