As we await the 25th anniversary edition of Heroquest from Game Zone next year, news reaches us that Fimir will not be featured in the game.

Never fear!

As a pre-launch taster for a new game system called "The Woods" we are developing I am about to place an order with the foundry for a first batch of our Myeri Marsh Demons which may well fit the bill for all fans of Heroquest. These will only be available to order for the moment until the game is up and running and at the moment come with a free mystery figure offer, so if you'd like to take advantage pop on over to the Oldhammer Forum for pricing, pics etc.:

You can PM me, email geoff@propworkshop.co.uk or sign up to the Oldhammer Forum to place your orders. :fimir: Happy bogpeople!

I've read about this on Mr. Saturday's Mumblings blog. Very nice models, based on fimir and heavily influenced by the Dark Crystal.
I'll see if I can dig up the link later today.

Do Ye olde inn members get a discount? :P

Sadly not, but you do get the free mystery figure offer which ends with this batch of orders. Don't know if you can fit it into HQ but if I do say so myself it's a nice figure and worth picking up for free! Hoping to place the order with the Foundry midweek.

No online shop, let me know what you'd like and I'll send a paypal invoice. Prices:

Clubtails and thrall (3 minis, 2 warriors and a serf) £7.50
Clubtail Curadh (Command of champion, musician and standard) £7.50
Tiarna (Hero, pictured above) £5
Draoi (4-armed Wizard with three crows) £5
Woldlouse (The crab/beetle monster) £6
Pair of Haakskarl swords (big, 2-handed swords) £2

The figures come without bases or weapons.
Orders of £25 or more receive the free mystery figure.
Shipping is £3 for a single set, £5 for two or more to the UK, I'll quote separately for orders outside the UK (Europe usually about £10).

Wow, that's pretty steep. I can understand why, I'm sure the process isn't cheap, but it's too rich for me right now. Just splurged on Bones II. And had a flat tire that had te be replaced. It was 1 month old -.- bye bye €115,-
I would have loved some Draoi and Woldlice

Compared to GW's pricing it's pretty reasonable...

But of course, it is much more expensive to set up independently than through a big company.
