Ye Olde Inn

Hi fellow (A)HQ fans,

Last year I started a quest to collect all 40 miniatures as seen in the AHQ rulebook. Yes, they have to be EXACTLY the same as the ones pictured in the monster reference sheet section.
Currently, I have 21 out of 40....but number 22 is underway, so I need 18.
Below are the ones I'm looking for.
Some monsters (Orc, Goblin, Mummy, Skeleton, Zombie, Fimir, Ogre and Bloodthirster) aren't high on my wanted list (since there are HQ versions) and I'll only get these at the right price.

If you have one or more, or if you know where I can get one or more......please let me know!

Thanks for the input , but it has to be the exact citadel/GW mini.
(So basically I'm looking for minis that are at least 24 years old (AHQ was published in 1989 and the minis are in the rulebook)).

I don't think he is looking for alternatives. He is trying to collect that specific set.

My face when I actually owns the goblin. But it's the first mini I ever got and I inherited it from my brother when he got bored with minis (extremely fast). I'm not letting it go, ever.
I also have the chaos warrior with two axes and 2 or 3 of the skaven plague monks.

I saw the ogres on ebay a while back - extremely expensive
But good luck catching 'em all!

My mistake, I didn't realise the intentions of your quest. Good luck getting them all (for whatever dark ritual you plan to do with them)!

I have the CW and the Skaven monks as well (see pics in the 1st post). The CW is one of the best in my humble opinion.

Yup. The ogres were on eBay not so long ago. They were +25 € if I'm correct. I'm never going to pay that for 1 mini.

The reason I want this set complete dates back many years.......in 1991, when I got my AHQ copy I saw these minis for the first time. I loved 'em.
Unfortunately, the local store didn't have them and trips to other stores in the Netherlands also weren't successful. I did have many other minis back then, but not the 'Fab 40'.

Since I'm a sucker for retro, old stuff, things with sentimental value etc. I only want to play (A)HQ with the original minis.
When it comes to HQ there are the minis from the base game and the 6 expansions. Get these and you're done. (I still need the US packs tho')

With AHQ it's different. Only skaven were included and GW wanted players to buy minis from their line. And boy, they have a LOT of minis.
I wanted a challenge: get the 'Fab 40' I liked so many years ago. If I don't get all 40: no problem! I won't enjoy the game any less. It's just for fun.
Besides: the minis I wanted the most back in 1991 are already in my collection.

This is what I hope to achieve when I have the 40 minis:

I know that feeling all too well... I've always wanted the classic wood elf champion with an eyepatch, holding an axe and an orc head. He is so bad ass!

Recently I spotted him on ebay. Now he is finally mine! ← tears of joy!
