The stats on the blog aren't the only ones that show how strong our Spanish community is here at Ye Olde Inn. As you can see in the screens below, Spain is 5th in pageviews and 3rd in visits.

Let's try and not alienate them. We're all fans of this great game and we're all a source of new ideas for it. As Maike05 said, and I too agree that I wouldn't want the great community we've built here to be perceived as jerks.
I like the idea of creating a letter from our community with questions about our collective concerns on the 25th anniversary crowdfunding project. If everyone with concerns comes forward with questions to include, I will personally forward the letter to Dionisio of GameZone Miniatures in an attempt to gain the answers you all seek.
Although GameZone has not asked to consult our community here at Ye Olde Inn on the project, Dionisio himself did approach me in mid-November and had some kind words for our fair community.
Dionisio from GameZone Miniatures wrote:Hello
My name is Dionisio, owner of Gamezone Miniatures. I should have contacted you long ago. But, It was hard to find a way to contact you without spamming on your site.
Excuse me if I'm roughly direct. I would like to know if you want to cooperate on Heroquest 25th anniversary, in some way.
It's a fact that your site is THE reference about HQ. I've looked out your page countless times. I want to share with you what we are doing and planning. I find essential consulting someone like you.
I wondering if you may take active part. I understand if not, for any reason. Is so, let me ask you what do you think is the appropiate person?
Hasta pronto.
Dionisio
I did respond to his email, asking for clarification on exactly what he was asking of me, as truth be known, I didn't quite understand. I received this response shortly thereafter:
Dionisio wrote:External consultant’s role, that’s what I asking you. Taking part to check alpha version of rules and contents.
Please feel free to ask me anything about HQ25th. I will share with you full information of. Just let me know what are you curious about.
I recently realize that info strategy of this project causes a significant scepticism about it, on USA and Canada, while same strategy causes a big hype here on Europe. That’s unexpected to me, so much diferent reactions.
I will answer your questions, gladly.
Dionisio
These communications were made prior to the initial Kickstarter attempt. I have not received word from Dionisio after informing him that he may consult with me should he feel the need to. But as stated in his email, I am free to ask him anything about HQ25th. Therefore I will forward your questions to him on behalf of the Ye Olde Inn community.
But please be polite and respectful as you would/should be to any member of our community here.
There does seem to be a lot of negative toward the project in this thread. Perhaps this is due to the quiet nature of those excited about the project being afraid to voice their views? Everyone at Ye Olde Inn should feel free to voice their opinion on the project, positive or negative as long as it respects the rules of the forum.
I do see some great positive potential in this project. If GameZone
does have the rights to HeroQuest in Spain beyond the name itself, such as a green-light from Hasbro Spain, it could in fact positively influence Big Hasbro in the United States should we here at Ye Olde Inn wish to do something similar. Or at the very least, request permission from Hasbro to keep the game alive via fan-made content provided such content is released as non-profit*. If GameZone does well, it may also influence an actual re-release of HeroQuest itself, making those damned, overly expensive quest packs more affordable. (I do however believe that Hasbro won't budge on a re-release, but who knows for sure?)
*any possible sale would only cover costs of printing and distributing fan-made quest books and the continued maintenance of this Website.
