What bases would you recommend for paper miniatures? Which ones are the closest to HeroQuest's but can be used by inserting paper mini's into the slots?
I'm not sure yet on what kind of card stock/card board I'm going to use, but I was hoping that maybe the bases would give me some ideas.
I thought about just using a folded paper base, but then I thought that these may become worn over time of picking the characters up and putting them down again.

You might be able to use these: Card Stand. They are a little smaller than the heroquest bases, but looks like they'd hold the paper minis rather snug.

Thanks for the link. I sure wish those flat-based ones were smaller.

Decided to go with the smaller ones (20mm). I think these will work great.

They're on the smaller side, but for my project, I prefer them being about 3mm smaller rather than having them overflowing onto the adjacent tiles.
