EEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, not quite as ornate, but sort of similar.
It has four posts for legs, a platform with the drop-away floor, and a post-and-arm
for the rope. I haven't decided if I was going to try and use stairs, or a ladder.

I actually tried making a rope coiled up for the small pier
that I made for myself...couldn't get the clay to stay together that thin...

I think sewing string would be way too thin. I just did a quick search and found this.

I make ropes of wire. Take alength of hobby wire (about 1/4mm thick, you get this kind of stuff around christmas or in hobby stores, it's often used in floristic deco), fold it in half, put some thin but sturdy rod in the folding (I use a file [in the sense of rasp, not electronic data]), grip the two ends with pliers and turn them around while holding a good pull. Looks great and holds it's shape. Paint brown.

only thing I see that might be a bit bad is it looks a little big? could be wrong though, bit hard to tell.


any pictures of the coffins? these could definitely be two separate rewards.

Miksang, I think you have understood...that is not the gallows I made.
Mine is not quite finished yet. That was a picture sjeng posted, asking if
mine is going to look similar to that.

And yes, there will be pictures of the coffin, and of the gallows, when they
are done. I am just waiting for the coffin to dry, and then it will be painted.
The gallows needs to finish drying, and then put together and painted. I also
have to decide how people will get up to it....stairs or ladder.
It is almost done, though.

Only problem is that this week is going to be really bad...and I don't know if I'll
be able to finish it this week.

Okay...I tried to put the gallows together, and the platform broke. I made it too thin.
I have remade the platform, thicker this time, and made it a little easier to attach the
legs when it is time. I don't know how well the floor will drop out now, however...we'll
have to wait and see.

That will take a few days to dry good, so no pictures any time soon.

I did make two more coffins today, and if I have time I will get those painted this week. So, that is
one reward almost finished...as long as the winner wants them.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've made. Also looking towards the contest. I didn't even know about this side of the forum. Not to poo poo on Sjeng but for the Adventure tiles he posted on the blog it may have helped the number of contestants if it was posted around here. It probably was and I'm too dumb to know. Where's the signup or fine print for rules & regulations where it Rumpelstiltskins you into selling your first born.

There was (and still is) an announcement for my contest, which you should see at the very top of every forum you open... Kinda hard to miss.

I was thinking in the contest section. But irregardless of how dumb I may be look I'm hoping that this contest we can get a number of supporters and get a good submission number.
