The first edition of this fair (the biggest in the Benelux) was in 1992. I was there, and I remember playing a demo of Darkworld and discovering the Star Wars RPG by WestEndGames (and getting some books).
Since then, I've been there every year....even in the years I didn't play any games/lost interest. Since it was in my hometown and was always fun I kept on going, even during the 'dark years' when Pokémon ruled the con.
Some years ago the con stopped, only to return in october 2012. Even though it was held in the same convention building, there weren't as many stands as there used to be. (maybe due to the crisis? the fact that this was the first con after many years?)
Regarding HQ: there were some main sets for sale (ranging from € 45-65). No expansions. HQ related games: Darkworld, some old GW mini sets.....all of these at the 2 second hand stands of course.
It was mostly new games that were played (and were for sale) varying from Flames of War, Lego games, kids games (from HABA), Descent, card games......

The next edition has already been announced: November 9 & 10 2013.

So, write it on your calendar and don't forget to visit the City of Light Eindhoven next year as I will take HQ with me.....

Been there twice during a different con: Phantasium. People dress up awesome there. My wife bought herself a victorian/gothic dress there. Amazing stuff!
We might go there next year for the games con. Might find some interesting games, like zombicide
I have some friends who might also like to go, they'll sure be interested I think.

Yes, Beursgebouw. It's always been there by the way. Good, big place to hold an event like this.

If everything goes to plan we're (2 mates & myself) going to play HQ over there.

Yup, it's not far from Brussels.
Coming by train: 5 mins from the station
Coming by car: there are loads of parking garages in the center. In fact: there's one in front of the building.

We'll almost certain be there on saturday only.

The wife and I will be attending on saturday as well! I'll be wearing a black t-shirt with "100% Sjeng" on it. You'll recognize me
