I am looking for card sleeve recommendations for the 2021 set. Any insight is appreciated.

I recommend getting clear, or at least see-through ones, since you'll wanna be able to see the backs of the cards in addition to the front.

Though you might have to buy a deck box for the sleeved cards; no matter what you buy, the sleeves will add thickness that may prevent it from going back in their original spots.

Ultra Pro Standard size Pro-matte (clear on one side, matte on the other, for easy shuffling) work great in my opinion, sold in packs of 50 or 100 (at least at the time I got them a few years back) at game shops. The Remake cares are Poker size so anything that fits Magic the Gathering cards will also work (but as King Keneth pointed out they won't then fit inside the plastic "candy" trays anymore).

So, for everyone who sleeved their cards for this game, it it something you would recommend?

I understand clear matte sleeves are supposed to be good for shuffling (and to see the cards). Is this really the case?
Do the cards fall all over the place trying to handle them?

I’m still using most of the original inserts, so if I want to sleeve the cards they would be stored under the cardboard platform at the bottom of the box. I don’t have room for a deck box, but I have a bunch of baggies made of thick plastic about 5”x5” in size. I could separate the cards roughly by type, and they should fit under the platform.

One concern I have is the expansion cards. I would probably have to store them in the GS box as well, but depending on how many new expansions there are after the coming EQP, there will likely be too many cards eventually.

If sleeving the cards protects them and are still easy to handle in play, I think it’s worth it. If anyone discovered using sleeves is more trouble than it’s worth for any reason I’d like to hear your thoughts.

They're expensive for card sleeves, but the Dragon Shield sleeves are excellent sleeves. They're clear in the front and have a slight texture on the backs for gripping the cards. Super high quality and very thick while not being "too thick". I bought two packs and had enough left over after my Mythic Pledge to also sleeve the Frozen Horror expansion I recently received

The "matte on one side, totally clear on the other" feel soft to the touch and I find are easier to shuffle. If you have a stack of cards on the table it's less likely that the cards will "float away" from the stack on their own. However these sleeves are also fairly soft. Some people prefer sleeves that add stiffness or rigidity (but those same kinds tend to have sharp corners that can poke you as you handle them, maybe in a rare case give you a paper cut if you have dry skin). The UltraPros are easy to find and pretty versatile. I didn't use them for my classic cards because there was a lot of extra space on the sides (much bigger than the card) but for remake they should work fine.

Late to the party here, however for future reference I figured I'd add my piece.

I find that Sleeve Kings SKU-8810 (63.5 mm x 88 mm) are an affordable option at ~ $2.50 USD, and come 110 sleeves to the pack. They also fit quite well. Noting that I don't stream, they do not offer the matte/ glossy options, they do shuffle nicely though.

I highly recommend these sleeves for the 2021 edition of HQ.
