This is going to make you hate my wife

You all remember my big-ass 3D game-board that I made by using resin bricks cast from German-bade tile moulds?

Due to someone's carelessness, that board is now gone. Destroyed by a belt-sander. My belt-sander, in fact. Wielded...by me!

You see, when those damdest bastards at Zealot Miniatures made their doors (making us all happy), I had to use them. Not because they were better than my AHQ doors, but because they were more correct. This led me to want to fix my big board (which was actually half-assed together) so that the tiles were all level (I know, they should have been already). I bought the wrong weight paper, and after testing on a spot I failed to notice that the details left intact after being sanded over were merely the thickest agents of the black-wash pressing into the faintest trace of the routes of detail. So I had a nice, clean, even board. Sanded-bottom doors sat on it perfectly (and are the exact width of the tiles). So what, then? Why should you hate this:

You should hate her, because she started painting it again, almost without reservation, and it now looks like this:

Maybe its actually me you should be hating.

Holy crap man, that looks EXACTLY as the original board :O
That's amazing.
I don't get the hating though. Was she angry at you sanding the board?

None are. She's only finished those three rooms, and no hallways. On the old board, the halls had only been base-coated and washed.

That's right, most of you aren't American. Basically, reverse-psychology. I establish in the title that you need to assign blame. I then described how I ruined the board, and how she is fixing it up. You started looking for the reasons to hate her, but wound up not having any--because I lied.

Usually, I'd post something like, "Look at how my wife is better than your wife, because mine paints freakin' Heroquest *lemony goodness* actually well."

Most people around here are ambivalent to me, so I figured I would try to improve your responses by engineering sympathy. Rather, I have simply sewn confusion, because so few of you are black-hearted Americans that dine on hubris and envy.

And just in case you do want to hate her for those reasons--the rocks and rubble in those rooms is painted on.

Here goes.
I don't discriminate. I hate everyone.

All kidding (was it?) aside... As soon as I (again) saw the picture of your cute wife looking up towards the audience like a puppy I knew you were playing us. There's no hating her who has that face.

Black-hearted American here, checking in.

I totally understood the original intent with no confusion present.

And holy hell, how is she not a professional painter?? That skill is frickin' amazeballs, yo!

See! Telling an American your good at something usually does one of two things. They may assume you are indirectly telling them they are not good at what you're showing off. They may also try to then outdo you, by saying they have seen better, or know someone personally, who is.
