Sharing Gold/Weapons

Can heroes share gold/weapons in between quests? Or is it "finders keepers" (i.e. gold is treated like experience points so to speak).

Also related question: when a hero draws a potion card does he return the card to the treasure deck after the quest or does he have to keep the card for the next quest(s) until he drinks it?

Thanks!

Heroes may, if they wish, give, trade or loan their weapons and gold to other heroes.

All treasure cards are returned to the deck at the end of a quest. Heroes should record their treasure on their character sheets.

I would assume the heroes share whatever they have. They are, it seems, friends and well-known to one another.

Of course, if you've started the game with the idea that the heroes are simply separate individuals brought together
for some reason or another, then they might no know each other all that well, and may desire to keep things to
themselves more than share.

It is up to the group as a whole, I would say. Sharing always makes things more fun, as the players would not see
each other as competition at that point. I mean, let's face it...the barbarian has no use for a wizard's cloak, and
might as well hand it over to the wizard, right?

I've had groups that share items freely. I've also had groups where the Wizard, whom often accumulates gold they cannot spend, loans out gold with cumulative interest per quest to others Heroes wanting to purchase items they cannot yet afford. The Wizard would also purchase potions of healing from other Heroes. Wizard gets more healing and Heroes can purchase items earlier. The dynamics depend on the people you're playing with.

What drathe and torilen said.

North American Instruction Booklet:
p.16, under Action 3--Search For Treasure,
How A Hero Searches
For Treasure

* If there is no special treasure called
out to Zargon in the Quest Book,
you, as a Hero, must draw a random
card from the Treasure Card deck and
read it aloud. The card could offer you
a variety of things, including riches and
magical potions. Record any gold coins
or potions on your Character Sheet.
These "valuable" Treasure Cards (gold
coins and potions) are NOT returned to
the treasure deck until the next Quest. [This answers your 2nd question. The rest of this post answers your 1st question.]

Note: If you wish, you may share the
gold coin treasures with the other Heroes.
Later, between Quests, you may use the
treasure to purchase additional weapons
and armor from the Armory. (See A Trip
To The Armory
on page 14.)

p. 17, under More About Treasures,
Artifacts
...
Important! Certain artifacts may only be
used by a speacific Hero.
For example,
the Wizard's Cloak and the Wizard's
Staff may only be used by the Wizard. If
another Hero finds one of these items, he
should give it to the Wizard.

Potions
...You may give one of
your potions to a fellow Hero, but you
may do so only on your turn.

Elf and Barbarian Quest Packs:
under p.8 of Playing the Quest Pack for the Elf, 6. Rule Clarifications
and p. 7 of Playing the Barbarian Quest Pack, 5. Rule Clarifications
*Passing Items: A Hero can pass a potion, artifact, weapon, or any
other item to another Hero only if the 2 Heroes are in adjacent
squares and neither Hero is adjacent to a monster.

Not replying to spammers makes you look wise. I never have been called Sir Daedalus before, though. Too bad he wasn't the Russian babe from the other spam thread--it might have worked! :D
