Hi Everyone,

Been a while since I first joined but I've been enjoying playing heroquest with my little man.

To cut a long story short, we saw some of the hirst arts dungeons and decided to do the same ...

At the start we only had the floor tile mold ...

I freekin' love Hirst Arts dungeons! They look awesome!

My only problem is that a lot of the flexibility from the HQ board seems to get lost if you add walls.
Or you have to make it in lots of different bits and spend a lot of time putting it together when you want to play...

@Cynthialee - You'll have to let me build the board first ;o)

@Ludooo77 - Yeah, it's a playoff between having to make hundreds of parts that are mostly redunant and staying true to the game board. I'm going for a 'inspired by' approach.

@Goblin-King - Just adding walls changes the layout mate, as I said above, it's more an inspired by approach than a direct copy.

@Sjeng - It's kind of addictive, I can't stop casting little blocks now I've got the molds mate - lol

Bit more work on the dungeon, this time we put together a feature room ....

Just need to dress it up with a few pieces of scenery I've got in my bits box.

And paint it. True awesomeness needs color to gain the full 3D effect. Take that hill, man!

I just looked them up... wow... seems like a pricey way to go both in time and money... but the pay off would be huge!

They are lovely pieces. Are they made out of plaster?

It can be somewhat expensive, but the molds last forever. I have a couple of the orginal hirst molds (I still remember when he came out with his second mold, I had it on preorder.) They still are in great shape a decade later, and I can still make buildings, bridges, and dungeons with them.

I like using hydrocal as my building material, which brings up my expense, but I love how lightweight and durable it is. (I still have castings from 10 years ago that are in great shape too.)
