Looks awesome, but I hate to say it... it doesn't look like chain mail, more like plate.

I suppose it could be renamed into elven armor

Elven Plate Armor, perfect.

The original item introduced in Mage of the Mirror (EQP) is functionally the same as Borin's Armor, so you have another instance of this great protective gear to replace or supplement it.

The only place where it might make a difference is that if you play Against the Ogre Horde (and Wizard of Morcar) converted to NA rules, in which there are different damage rules from plate vs. chainmail in those pits of darkness traps. Borin's is magic plate.

Rename the card or keep it the same, either way it's great to have. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't yet got to The Mage of the Mirror but I think I'll be going with Elven Plate Mail Armour (maybe just named Elven Armour) as my HeroQuest Gold rules have standard Plate Mail coming with a -1 penalty to Jump rolls (instead of a -D6 to movement rolls) and Borin's Armour being replaced with Borin's Amulet (+1 to your starting BP) so this would fulfil the role played by the original Borin's Armour without having to give away the most expensive piece of kit in the game in the first few Quests and breaking the advancement system in a single hit!

Incidentally the difference between 'Plate Armour' and 'Plate Mail Armour' is often missed, HeroQuest has Plate Mail armour i.e. Mail with strategically added plates which is why, unlike 15th century Plate armour, it cannot be worn over Chain Mail.

Would this be helpful to anyone? I adapted the card into the UK style and photoshopped the image to give it actual chainmail.
