The first real expansion offering new monsters and it wasn't release in most of the european countries !
What a shame !! Fortunately I found it on ebay (new) years ago ^^ !
Bigger than the other boxes (kellar's keep & return of the witch lord), this one offers a good challenge to the heroes.
My favourite with Barbarian quest pack ^^

I've still yet to play this one. I didn't own it back when I had my longest playing group and right now my two current groups aren't at that point yet. Still fumbling around in Kellar's Keep.

There are a lot of cool ideas I can't wait to play. Still not sure if I want to use the variable stats or fixed stats for the Ogres. If I have an opportunity, I'll try them both out and then keep going with which ever I find to be the best.

Considering how much time I spent converting all of my HQ related stuff to US rule set; I'll be using fixed stats for the Ogres. Hopefully soon we can get a game together. If that is the case my current group is on Quest #10 of RotWL and will then proceed to AtOH. I'm excited (new grounds for me and for my group).

Early last year I had the opportunity to play through this Quest pack. American rules combined with variable Ogre Body Points made it challenging and fun. Multiple Wandering Monsters were too much with American rules and needed to be cut down to single monsters only. It was great to play something new.

My players have finished the remake I did so the 7 quests are done.
They have also finished wizards of morcar in a week end.
We make a pause by playing something else now since I haven't finished yet other expansion remakes.
(and also for a money reason 'cause I have to print in laser color, plastify cards etc)

To resume : my players were really pleased to discover new monsters.
It is definitively something great for them because the game is boring with the same bestiary for all the quests...
14 of the main game, 10 + 10 so 34 quests without a new "mob" !!
They liked the new elements (pits, traps starting place etc) and especially the stone doors.
