Absolutely! This was a brilliant game that we had great fun with back in the day. I too would 100% buy a reprint, and the options for add on forces, such as was done with the Eldar, would appeal too I think.

Good morning all from a sunny UK.

I received my copy of Hero Quest yesterday (The new version). I remember playing this game as a child many, many years ago ah the nostalgia.

After seeing the Bards brilliant YouTube video on the game years ago the thought of buying the game again has been a constant niggle at the back of mind. So I finally caved in a treated myself. I have only looked at the box so far haven't opened it yet as I have a couple of projects to complete first.

So I will save the excitement for another time when there will a CRACKING UNBOXING !!

Good evening, all

Yesterday I received my copy of the new version of Hero Quest after watching a certain Bard's YouTube Video many years ago. He planted the seed that sat in the back of my mind for a few years and niggle away at me. (Curse you, Bardic ).

So a few days ago I took the plunge and bought a copy of this great game that I haven't played or set eyes on for 30-plus years. I am looking forward to a "Cracking Unboxing" as soon as I have finished 1 or 2 other projects, but the wait will be worth it im sure.

Hey all. o/

Long time lurker, now all sighed up and able to say stuff. Just dropping by to say hello and introduce myself.

Don't really have much else to say really. Played Heroquest back in the day when I was like 6 or so, though my friends at the time weren't as into it as I was. I think we ended up stopping because of a disagreement over how many times a room should be searchable (they were right, it's multiple times, but still!). After that I played it a few more times in my teens with various people.

So my experience with the game is simultaneously a lot and a little. But it's always had a special place in my heart, as corny as that sounds.

I'm currently getting back into it little by little and messing around with some ideas like a quest generation system, a wandering monster group system, and generally lurking reading over stuff in the 'play by post' room. Might even start one, though my keyboard is currently busted and I'm forced to type on a touch screen, making typing and forming my thoughts a bit difficult. So, maybe not.

Wow, playing at 6 without an adult. No wonder you hit a rules wall. I gotta admire that spirit, though! Do you still have your original set, seeing as you still had it as a teen?
