I made a start painting up some of the minis from the Litchmyre dungeon kickstarter from Zealot Miniatures.
So far i got the greenskins and Sir Ragnar done.

Wow!! They look awesome! I love the fimir colours!! Which colours/washes did you use Sparky?? I got my first wave last week and want to start painting them soon too.

I always have to browse through your thread when you post something new. Your board is so epic! And your outside areas too. The river looks so real!! It inspires me to finally continue with my hirstarts molds and start crafting myself, it looks like so much fun and the results stand for themselves! Please keep posting!

Thanks for the kind words.
I use coat d arms paints.
For the skin i used goblin green highlighted with putrid green with GW biel-tan green wash.
The armour is highlighted with bronze then gold.
Pretty chuffed with him as im by no way as good a painter as most of the people at the inn.

They all look good! Could you post a comparative pic with the original figures too?
Also curious to know wich version you took from the kickstarter? (resyn, premium resyn or metal?)

Mine are just standard resin. The detail is still pretty good.
They are taller than the originals, the orc especially. Maybe ill use him as a boss.

Sparky, I am in the process of casting hirstarts and wanna build my own HQ board with it and I was wondering what you used as a surface to mount your board and how you attached it? I use dental plaster (stodent II) as my material for the casts.

I used 6mm mdf. You could probably get away with 3mm. I know some people use cork.
I use Aleene’s tacky glue like Bruce Hirst recomends for the glue.
I also used self stick felt on the bottom to stop scratches on furniture and give more grip.

Great! Thank you Sparky! I love the felt idea! I am a complete newb to crafting, so I got a bit of a dumb question, is it hard to cut mdf board precisely? What would you recommend using for that?

I used a jigsaw to cut mine.
