I just use equipment cards as a separate 'treasure deck'. Every once and awhile there will be places I will allow for a pull off the equipment deck in liu of a pull off the treasure cards. It is rare and ussualy I do it so that there is an extra weapon or two in the group. Last time we played there was a FImir in the dungeon with the rust spell, which is very powerful and crack nappy spell at my table. (If your hero has ANYTHING at all that can rust is will, including artifacts...) So knowing this I allowed the Elf a free pull of equipment in one of the rooms along the way. I don't remember what he pulled but it went on the character sheet and they soldiered on. Eventually they find the Fimir and it hits the Dwarf with the rust spell, which really ruined the dwarfs day. After the Fimir was killed the Elf ran up to the Dwarf and gave him the weapon that was found earlier. All I remember was the weapon was not as good as the weapon the Dwarf ussed but it was a weapon and the fact he had it was enough to keep the player from throwing in the towel.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

That's pretty cool!! Nice work!

I'm planning on making the dice roll arena with card drawer by WorldWorks myself.

oh wow, completely forgot about this. Never made the box. Maybe I still should. But those card boxes look sweet though.

@Necrothug: could you mail me the card template files? Are they photoshop? I'd like to convert them to EU size boxes. I also laminated my printed cards, so they're slightly bigger and thicker, plus I added expansion cards and homebrew stuff too.

Something like that made from wood or laminate might be nice.

I'd worry about 5 combat dice being thrown and moving the box if it were just paper cardstock. I also think you'd need to pass this around the table so that dice could be comfortably thrown. I'd think that a paper model would wear quickly from this use, particulary since there are drawers involved that could drop out.

Since it would add some weight, I'd think wood or laminate would be ideal to cure the mentioned problems. Making a dicebox out of wood would require the right tools, however, which is a problem if you are limited in that department. For me, I'd go with foamcore. Still might need to add some weight from the underside in the corners, though.

Truth is, despite its sexy looks, I wouldn't use this simply because you'd need to pass it around a lot. I prefer to roll the dice on the board toward the next person who will roll. Usually the dice are easy to grab from the gameboard. I gotta admit a board full of furniture would make this useful, however. Hmm...
