Almost finish painting the board sections. I just need to fill in a few details.

That board makes a great feature on your wall! :D
Seriously, its looks divine. Those Heroquest baddies will look right at home in those halls and corridors. Love how you stayed true to the original board with colours and tile types.
I'm looking forward to seeing you cast your creativeness on the blocked walls and furniture etc.

If I'm honest I haven't given any thought to the expansions. Most of the rooms could be made as inserts, so that's not a problem. Iron doors are easy is a lot of the other bits.

Do the stairs have an actual function?

I only have the return of the witch lord expansion so I'm not too familiar with the others.

No, the stairs were only used as dungeon dressing to indicate levels. One day I plan to make an overly complicated post about how to judge line of sight with the stairway tiles from Kellar's Keep.

Anyone on here still play Warhammerquest?

I haven't played my 90's game for a few years, but man it is crazy hard until you get that first win and can buy some healing.

WHQ set now, but I'll probably use modified HeroQuest rules for it, because the classic rules are based off pre-AoS WFB rules, with to hit/to wound matrices, which turn off the casual players in my circle. Everyone loves the simplicity of HeroQuest.

Amen to that.

This is what happens when your wife lets the kids play with your project while your at work. I’m not a happy camper.

Thats very tragic. Please tell me they never got to your dice tower!
This is the trouble with plaster...not suitable for little fingers. I have wondered if resin would have been more durable.
Hope you get the broken parts fixed. Then lock all your stuff in a vault somewhere preferably with a 6 inch steel door!

This requires punishment that is quick severe and merciless.

My inner man-child winces at seeing that. I hope you can help them learn that being careful with things is important. Keep up the good fight and craft on.
