It's just so weird how these minis are different from the ones actually in the box. Especially because they are better sculpts in my opinion. Notice the fimir's axe?
Does anyone know the story behind them? Were they ever available?

I think they were the prototypes. If you look at the picture on the bottom of the box, with the kids playing the game, the figures are different too.

Here he is! That's the best I could do. I think it is acceptable.

None of my HQ minis are painted yet. We have the paint and brushes, just no motivation lately.
I do have a number of old Ral Partha and Grenadier minis we painted and a bunch of plastic knights from a package of army men. (I glued pennies to the bottoms to keep them always upright. ;) ) I like to use the knights as giants in armor and animated statues as they are 50% larger than any of my other mini's.
But my stuff looks so amaturish compared to these mini's that I won't be in a hurry too post any pics of my stuff any time soon.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

The Wizard's GW paint job from the box makes me think he should be working in Vegas.
