So glad you're continuing with this project, it really is pretty awesome.

Great work and super jealous :D The spacing is a good change, can get a bit crowded on the original tiles :)

Thanks for the comments folks. I've made slow progress over the weekend. I hope to finish the fillings of the gaps over the next week or two and then start painting it

And so the great build is finished, for the main board at least. Now to finish painting and adding the extra. It's been a massive effort to get this far. All feedback welcome.

You should be proud of that awesome board, its epic. Its like twice as big as the original!
There will still be a fair way to go yet i imagine. What with all the doors, blocked squares, furniture etc to make and paint.

I concur. That beast is a reason to be proud of yourself.
Up close, farther away, it doesn't matter... it's beautiful.

This is getting ahead, but your comment brings up a build question I haven't yet seen addressed with 3D boards. How do you plan to handle expansion special tiles like the revolving room from RotWL and corridor stairways? Would you like to build them in the future, as well?

Thanks for the comments guys. Still lots and lots to do, but it's almost at the stage now that the add ons will all be like mini projects. I have lays of ideas for doors, secret and normal, blocked squares and traps etc. Not to mention the daunting prospect of painting the minis. Then hopefully I'll actually play the game!!!

If I'm honest I haven't given any thought to the expansions. Most of the rooms could be made as inserts, so that's not a problem. Iron doors are easy is a lot of the other bits.

Do the stairs have an actual function?

I only have the return of the witch lord expansion so I'm not too familiar with the others.

I'm more interested in writing my own quests with my boys for the future.

Watch this space.

Received my first ever Zealot purchase today. Some figures, bases, this amazing throne and a weopons rack. They are very well done. I know want so much more Zealot stuff.

Ps. The weapons rack is twisted, any ideas on how the straighten it without braking it?
