In some cases the notes might be a little superfluous, I'll give you that.
But better safe than sorry. It happened in vanilla HQ, too, I think.
Also, it's visually more appealin if a notes page is filled rather than less, that's why I find it OK.

The plastic Warhammer Gors are not expensive.
Usually, you can find 10 for 15-20 bucks on average on ebay.
If you want the HQ-typical uniform look, watch out for Warhammer 4th or 5th edition plastic Beastmen.
They should be even cheaper.

Here are the figs I use to play my questpack :

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Gors
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Be ... nd-Weapons
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Great-Bray-Shaman
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Chaos-Warhounds

They are quite expansive on Games Workshop website, but as KK said, you can easily find them on eBay for half the price.

For the orange dice, you can find them here : http://spielwarensaloon.de/advanced_sea ... =heroquest
Or you can made your own with paper.

I like the Gors from Warhammer for my RPG, so I already have some on hand. This dungeon just adds to the usefulness of my Gors.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Yes I've been looking at those today. The earlier models match up quite nicely to the HQ style, very Warhammer Quest, were they in WQ? I have some Orcs and Goblins WQ so they will suit nicely. I do like the new ones too.

I usually like to go with the older style miniatures, in order to complete the retro feel that HeroQuest oozes.
Therefore, I use the following guys as beastmen
I use them without the chaos shields as regular beastmen and with shields when I want them as lieutenants/sub-bosses/bosses.

In Quest 5 'To the Surface', Note D has an encounter with Garghol the Bloody where the Heroes can exchange 2 Blood Runes for a weapon and a piece of armour. I can however only find 1 such rune in room H?

There is a Star Rune to be found in the previous quest (Note D). I can find no use for the Star Rune. Is this meant to be the other Blood Rune I wonder?
