hm that one was kinda short??

Puck is here for the Weekend, we start with Quest nine of the Sir Ragnar Saga. The Heroes are searching for Sir Ragnars’ Torturer, a Gargoyle named Gourmerod. The assignment is to find him, put him down, and steal his gold! The gang soon run into trouble, Hercules the Barbarian is cut off by a Falling Block trap, runs into an ambush, and sadly passes over to; “the other side”. The other three battle on, picture one shows The Paladin, Sir Roland surrounded by Skeletons, with T’ Mato the Conjurer and Zargon, a sort of Wraith, tossing up whether to go to his aid. The Conjurer summons a couple of Earth Elves to help.

Eventually, they corner the Gargoyle in his Lair, (see poor Herc. Mouldering in the background)

T’mato and one of his boys knock over a Firmir, of Gourmerods’ Protection Team, while Sir Roland hurries towards the Fray. Zargon has his eye on another Firmir.

Finally the Gargoyle goes down, and the boys rifle the Treasure Chests, pouching 500 gold.

Puck goes off to help his Gran do some cooking, I settle back to wind down with my Buddy Gaylion, The Firmir Mage, over a Martini.

What's your ingredients?

I like Gordon's Gin, some Vermouth, and a healthy dose of Stolichnaya Vodka. Drip of lemon, since I don't like Olives.

My Word, I cannot tell Puck that you don't like Olives!! Remember, I told him that you were just like us? We eat them like sweeties. As for the Martini, Gordons, French Vermouth, (The Best)!, olive marinated in salt water. No ice!! chill the French, keep the bottle in the fridge door. Shaken not stirred. Ahhhhh-----Heaven.

Some weeks ago I downloaded Rule 42’s Dark Alliance Questbook. I have been adapting some of my tiles and monsters to suit, but had to make some small alterations here and there. Oberon came on Sunday last, and, with Puck, we started on the first Quest. Oberon brought Morgusson The Ranger, and Kili-Thekkrsson, a Dwarf Trollslayer. Puck had Zarman the Orcslayer, and our old friend Sir Roland the Paladin, this time with some Greater Miracles.
Sir Roland suffered badly in the first room, attacked by two Black Orcs and two Night Goblins, and needed his Miracles to survive. We found it interesting to use the Stairs Down, and normal entry Stairs to give the impression of constantly descending along the corridors of this first part of the Quest. The Heroes ventured a short way along the RH Central corridor, as far as the Secret Door, and fought their way through those rooms, missing out part of the Quest. When they got to Room F, they decided to release the unhappy Orc, so will go to Quest 1A next time.
The picture shows the descent down the stairs, to the room in the RH central corridor, Heroes, left to right, Sir Roland, Kili, Zarman and The Ranger. In the room are three Black Orcs, (Uruk Hai), from LOTR and normal Orc, awaiting attack!
We had Grandmas Pizzas for lunch, and customary Jumbalaya for dinner. I'll put the Pizza recipie over on the Food!! thread

Now that I've seen how Dark Co. is played, I really want to give it a go! Imagine having enough materials to make all four boards active at ONCE with everything on it? How many sets would that take?

I'm sure SOMEONE has done the calculation before?

I picked up three complete sets of furniture a while ago on ebay for a low price.... so all I need are more monsters and three more boards, and I'll give it a go...
