I love those old bloodthirsters much more than the current ones.

Also remember the gargoyl special character "Bellthor"!
The most awesome named character in all of HeroQuest.
He uses poison gas and explodes upon death!

I have kept mine on the weaker end on purpose since I rarely run groups long enough to need things much stronger. I basically just wanted one step up from the Gargoyle. Now, if I wanted to make it as strong as an actual Warhammer Bloodthirster, it would be a thing that could easily fight off all four heroes with barely a scratch. Bloodthirsters take on whole units of warriors regularly in the Warhammer 'verse.

The actual Warhammer Bloodthirster in HeroQuest:
Move 13 Attack 19 with sword / 7 with whip / 6 with one hoof Defend 26 (re-roll upon not succeeding) Body 32 Mind 14
All Chaos spells plus an additional 18 Balls of Flame.

Ok but the Warhammer Bloodthirster wouldn't fit into the hero quest rooms. And if he is summoned there he can't leave a room. That makes him kind of a joke. Leave the room, that's it. :lol: :D

I was thinking the same thing. Good stats for a Lord of Change, but for Bloodthirster, remove the spells and add 5 more dice to attack and defense.

As for the walking away from him in the dungeon, I would say that 24 dice should be able to take out walls. He brings the dungeon down on the heroes and walks away unscathed.

The Old World is a dangerous place. I figured making a weaker version of the Bloodthirster would make for a better game. :D

But these are only spells in HQ terms. Of course these represent his innate fiery demon breath and terror-inspiring inspiry ... things ... and such.
