Giving gifts for Xmas is absolutely wonderful, and it couldn't have happened on a better site than this one; for there IS no better site than this one!

Merci tellement beaucoup!

I've worked on a virgin new board with original elements + new ones.
Once printed (laser shop for 2 or 3€) I will plastify it and paste it on a HQ board.
(I have several copies so I can sacrify one board for this)
Here is a preview of the board :
Image

You place the rooms (once printed and plastified) where you want on the original surface and the possiblity are infinite now !
Example of a map :

The new board size is about 35mo, the room pack (pdf ready to print) is 5,35 mo and the complete mapping program including all HQ + expansions + new board and separated room is about 138mo.

Nice hu ?

Agreed this was an excellent idea. The possibilities do look endless.

This is one of the most brilliant ideas for HeroQuest that I've seen in a long time. I'd prefer that the squares be more varied, but other than that... truly genius!

Thanks ! But I don't think it's my idea but the one of a dutch fan who gave us years ago a HQ video game he made.
The program included a nice editor for the quest starting with the choice : original board or a virgin one on which you could draw the rooms as you wish.

I'd prefer that the squares be more varied, but other than that... truly genius!

That's why I still don't give the file links guyz !
Look carefully the virgin map left corner, go down ... the first square is the first I reworked !
A long job since the 19x26 squares -1 have to be done ...

Ah, yes. Gerwin's HeroQuest PC game does have random board layouts. Still, putting it on the game table instead of the monitor is genius.
