Man, you Germans just know how to party. My father's side of the family immigrated to America during the 1940's for some reason. My name was supposed to have been "Heinrich Augustus Herbst" but my mom threw a shit-fit and argued my father down to "Wesley Stephen Herbst." That may sound like she won majorly, but both "Wesley" and "Stephen" were the names of my father's relatives.

My working-pseudonym, "Wes Falls," does then make a kind of sense if you know a little bit of German.

It's funny how almost only emigrated families preserve the good ol' German traditional names.
A guy in our generation named Heinrich Augustus growing up in Germany would have been an outsider in (early) school for the name only. Well, it's not that bad, but it would have made for some bullying until puberty where everyone grows out of their own ass and your haircut and fashion sense counts rather than your name.
Heinrich as a given name essentially died out after the 1950s here, I'd wager.

I also think Wesley and its short version, Wes, is one of the coolest sounding names ever, giving away much of an air of coolness, casualness, and dareIsay, optimism.
It just sounds awesome in my ears.

Im all sick as a dog, now. Abdominal gas. It was too painful to deal with at first, but I managed to get down some activated charcoal. This whole weeks sucked.
