I got an email about the new 25th edition. I'm getting just a little excited.
It said that some of the furniture pieces and treasure chests will open to allow for treasure to be
hidden inside - that's cool.

I am not sure I like they're idea for the combat dice - they're talking about having different faces on
the dice to "appear more consistent with the actual skills or the characters / current technology available."

They're saying there will be roughly 50 quests...I'm liking that so far...IF they're good quests and well written.

The board spaces will be slightly larger than the original, but the board will be two-sided - normal dungeon crawling
and ruins/exterior.

Here is what they say about the miniatures included:
1 Barbarian 1 Dwarf 1 Mage 1 Elf 1 Huntress 1 Female Dwarf 1 Wizard 1 Female Elf
(38 MONSTERS)
2 Mummies, 4 Zombies, 4 Skeleton Warriors, 6 Goblins, 8 Orcs, 4 Chaos Warriors, 3 Drrakks, 1 Petrified Gargoyle, 1 Gargoyle, 1 Chaos Witch, 1 Wraith, 1 Ogre, 1 Black Orc, 1 Viscosity of the Abyss

SO...could be kind of cool. I might be looking forward to this now. (still not sure about the dice...kind bummed about them changing those)

I really need to see it first. As of now, $150,- is not going to be for me.

I don't think the $150 is going to be the price of the game. That's how much you would need to
provide for the crowd funding to get the highest amount of rewards for helping to fund them.
That's the way I read it, anyhow.

As Endakil says:
Endakil wrote:* HeroQuest 25th Anniversary basic box -> $89
* HeroQuest 25th Anniversary box + 15 new heroes miniatures and their hero cards -> $110
* HeroQuest 25th Anniversary box + all Kickstarter rewards + 15 heroes -> $150

150$(=111 euros) is for the extra items, the basic box will have 89$(=65 euros) which is a very good price, in my opinion, for so many miniatures and stuff. So, even that I’m afraid that they will do changes, I will give the 150$ for sure, and if they don’t do changes or the game worth it, I will buy one extra basic box to sell it on ebay after years, or keep it for me, or give it as a gift.

If the prices are these I am very satisfied…

The kickstarter will come next Friday, 22 November… We will see…

I have been well, but since getting back to work (I am a news reporter again, huzzah!) I found my job doesn't pay well enough for me to have a home internet connection. I have the net on my phone, but my personal hot spot is constantly dropping, so I haven't been on the forum much. Still love my job in spite of the poorness.

Also sadly, I sometimes feel too burned out on writing after work to do much work on HQ stuff. Such is life.

On the other hand, my job will likely make my decision for me on whether or not I will buy the new release. Such is life.
Sure it's pretty scary when the witch lord returns but what you should really be afraid of is "Resurrection of the Witch Lord". Resurrected baddies always come back more threatening than ever, usually kind of demonic with wings and horns and hell fire to announce their arrival. Think Gannondorf or Mother Brain from Super Metroid.

Viscosity of the Abyss? I don't think they know what any of those words mean.
