Sorry, but the skulls I got turned out too small, which not only would make them look ridiculous on the skeletons, but also destroys some of the details. Well, increasing the size a bit in the computer model and order a new printout is not difficult, just costly... :p

Anyways, here are some pictures - the upper four pictures show one of my skulls compared to a GW skull for scale. The lowest picture shows three of my skulls - I made different versions.

I had painted them all black, because the printing resin is somewhat translucent, which makes it hard to recognize the structure on photo (I use a special "high detail" resin for the skulls, as opposed to the plastic of the skeletons).
Have a look ;)

What is going on with the right (smaller) skulls? They seem all pockmarked. Were they done in a different material?

Working on some final touches for Camo elf and then onto a bit of my Necro wizard conversion.

As I wrote, the right (smaller) skulls are mine, the left bigger one is from Greed Workshop. Naturally, the latter is of high pressure cast plastic, whereas mine are 3D-printed of a kind of resin. I must admid, I too find them somewhat "rough" - I had better results with earlier models in the same material from the same printing company, so I still have hope I can improve the quality. I'll have to make the skulls bigger, anyway, which will naturally make the structural details cleaner in the printout.
Have a look ;)

3D priniting is the future of the miniatures! :) I'm liking the skeletons and hope you're able to get your casting issues sorted soon

From me, I managed to do a bit more work on that dwarf from a previous post - first night I managed to get some of the skin and hair done, also after looking at some painted examples on the web, I changed my mind about colours for some areas and re-appiled a base coat and wash...

Image

After last night she's now mostly done. The face is a bit blurry in places and I'm not 100% happy with the nose, started basing and I'm not sure how much more I'll do before I give up :) You can see the female mage is now base coated behind her too

Image

Also, at the weekend I had a try at some diffferent painting - on pottery! :) This plate is ready to be glazed and fired and hopefully will be good enough to be a prize at next year's tournament. The pencil marks I made first should just burn off in the kiln so it should look a lot smarter once finished - I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes out!

I really like your miniature female characters. Say Spiky, here's a woman dwarf the size of 28 mm? More precisely from GW miniatures, it is not much different in height?

Shes' a fair bit taller than the standard HQ dwarf if that helps, but I think he's fairly short anyways. I'll try and post you a size comparison at some point

I like the Dwarf girl. She's ... well ... not unattractive.
And the face is beautiful. She looks 38 yrs old on a human scale, so she must be a seasoned warrior.
I really like her. Now stop moaning about the face. There's only so much sexiness and beauty you can put into a Dwarven character like this and it's all there and I didn't even stare at her cleavage. Her face caught me.
Verdict: Perfect.

I fully agree. It's a very excellent female dwarf mini. I've always liked it.

I say her legs aren't as squat as the male version because her gut isn't squishing them as much. Looks good. Really like your wizard.
