Well, next step was obviousely to make skulls and arms for a series of full blown skeletons. After much difficulties, today I finally finished the arms:

... and uploaded them for 3D printing (together with a bunch of other test models).
For me, this was an important step, so I just wanted to share...
Projected delivery date is Aug 28 - but there's still a good chance that I get an email instead that there are technical problems with printing...

This is looking very very interesting! Hard to imagine skeleton minis of that level of realism!
Are they normal 28 mm?

If it is, no moldlines, right?
Looks promising any way.

They are, but the level of detail in the computer model will not completely translate into the printed minis.
You may have a look on the "barebone" bodies in my older post.
You see the material is relatively "rough" - the feet of these minis are actually as detailed as the hands of the new arms in the electronic version, but this doesn't translate into the printout.
There is a printing material ("ultra detail resine") that would give details like this, but it is much too brittle for the supporting parts of the skeleton, including the arms. I will use it for the skulls, however.
Actually, I'm just trying a new material that should give somewhat better details that the old one - I ordered the arms and a new printout of the bodies in this material. If it turns out sturdy enough, I will use it in the future.

Yes, no mold lines. I'm very satisfied with the prints I got so far.
Have a look ;)

That's seems so demanding it's not even cool anymore! I can't imagine your stress and the many long hours you must have spent into this thing.
I assume you're going to gift a set to each member in the forum that has over 375 posts.

Meanwhile, I'm working lately on some chaos marauders. I started with 4 of them and this is what I've got so far:

A box of chaos marauders are the only warhammer figures I own and except for some glueing problem I run into, they are of pretty good quality and look very nice.

I'm afraid to admit that I'm a little tempted to try out warhammer fantasy battle. I read the rulebook a little bit but it's so overwhelming and difficult.

Sorry buddy, 1000 posts minimum.

Do it! It's fun!
At least it was when I played ~10 years ago. I can't imagine the game going that much downhill since then. In fact they might even have improved upon it!
I like these games for the fact that you build an army and execute a strategy. In general the better strategic wins. ENTER: unlucky dice rolls

I'm getting into 40k myself... just need to trim mold lines, assemble, magnetize and base far too many tyranids. Sigh...
My buddy just bought the cheapest minis he could find on eBay. Most are painted. Badly. And in very different colours... It looks... well...

Looks nice tasoe :) Were you going to use these on HQ? If yes, for what purpose?

I may use them in HQ. I had this idea where (if you are Patroclus please stop reading any further, keep the surprise element) in between quests, the heroes are ambushed by a group of those guys and fight them in open field. Perhaps craft some special rules or something.
Otherwise, I could just incorporate them in a regular quest. A little weaker than chaos warriors I guess. 4-3 combat with 2 body points.
However I'm not rebasing them. I probably WILL use them in a warhammer battle sooner or later, besides they fit fine in my homemade board of 30mm squares.
