Ok, I missed that the book does say
After the combat die is rolled, the
door is removed from the board.
! ;) (pg.19)

I thought I found a new errata for Crypt of Perpetual Darkness because most of the new tiles are never shown on the quest books (but they ARE mentioned in the quest notes), so nevermind about that one...

Re: Hero Quest 2021 Remake: Err

Edited by HispaZargon: Message moved from thread "Make the 2021 errata "printable"?" to this thread due to treated topic.

Hi! I've the game since the Hasbropulse (and bought every expansion since), but never had the opportunity to play, but decided to do the full run using the app. But noticing that the errata collection is, well, huge and not easily readable. I was thinking: It is possible to create PDF of the original books/questbooks and cards with the "blatant errata" (the black text in the compilation topic) corrected? Naturally, I'm speaking of only questbooks that Hasbro published online (for example, no "old" versions of Mythic Tiers questbook until those will be availalble in the Hasbro site). We can even try to ask Zargon twitter account to resolve the blue/red points.

I hope this is seen as a way to improve our copies, not a way to promote piracy.

Is this an accettable idea?

Thank you :)

It is odd though to write extensive new rules and provide a whole sheet of new tiles and the three types only appear in one quest each. Compare that to AtOH where the Stone doors, Pits of Darkness and swinging blades are used liberally throughout the quests.

Im glad someone had time to look thru them, I received mine, but only had a chance to start looking today. There are a LOT of differences, they went thru both quest books with a fine tooth comb from what I can see, all the text is reformatted and rewritten, changed for clarity here and there etc. Even the covers have some differences, the logo on the back changed, the date (obviously)
Both of the new ones, under the title, it sais "requires Heroquest Game System to play" On the new versions after that it has (Sold Separately) Inside covers have 5 potions now, old ones had only 4. Anyway, I was going to go thru all the adventures this weekend, and compile a list of any changes, but it looks like that has been done, so I guess I can still do it, and just use the list here to see if I notice anything that was missed.

I hear what you're saying, why don't they use it more? But...

I think there are many instances of this happening throughout the history of HeroQuest expansions (tiles that get used once, or even just once in one adventure) or minis that get used only once. I guess the idea there is that they are hoping you make your own adventures and find more (or new) uses for these assets. The swinging blades of course have no physical aspect so I wouldn't really count them. If we get into "invisible" quest note type things, there are too many one offs to count (and yet so many people in the community want to create tiles, cards, and physical models for those too, go figure!).

Yeah...no, they should have used them more.

Amalgamash has posted his own video unboxing and pointed out a few more things. Some furniture pieces are flipped around on the board oddly. References to "the gods" are specifically deleted from the lore intro to Spirit Queen's Torment questbook in the retail edition. Images are zoomed in and other subtle art differences alongside the errata corrections. See Ashquest...

Crypt of Perpetual Darkness Q9 does call for 6 skeletons at once, so a retail version would come with at least 2 extra models (since the Mythic set could assume you had the contents of ROTWL to use but a stand alone release wouldn't).

It does, check page 4 of CoPD questbook. Therefore, it is not an errata.
