The idea was to have a sort of parallel document to explain the changes we implemented, but that would also take time, and I’d prefer to use that time to work on the packs, hoping the drafts will be shared soon enough for everyone to make up his own mind. I guess there would be no problem for an AMA or whatever, in any case.
Where possible, we used the first draft ideas when we had gaps in the second draft, with some changes to dynamics that would have been pretty boring for 5 quests (take key, open door - in some instances with two different doors in a single quest), or to some of the cards (spells/treasure) as we felt this one was the pack where Mind Points could finally play an important part. If not now, when?
There were also minor changes to the layout of the maps, to showcase the newer monsters or the new tiles better (one new tile was featured in a single map, if I remember correctly), or to fix difficulty and add coherence to a level (like, what kind of monsters would defend a necromancer? Probably not greenskins - make the wandering monster progression more coherent, try to make the quest pack not as broken as the BQP/EQP, but serve as an “intro” to gear the whole party up to play those and have a chance).
While some of the people who took on the task really know A LOT about all the content released over the years, official or not, I know some fan made packs exist (and I know are of good quality) but didn’t take a look to keep it as original as possible.
