Yes, a single copy of Mythic was $149.99 + $30 shipping, plus state tax.
Heroic tier was $99.99 + shipping + tax.

So we got a discount compared to retail. Only the Hasbro Pulse version of the Game System would include any extra content (read the fine print carefully).

Nobody paid more unless they were paying for international shipping (another $30?) or buying a scalped version.

Now unless they screw up the distribution, chances are the price of the Game System I expect will go down over time, possibly KK & ROTWL as well, depending upon how they deal with the supply of course.

Don't pre-order from Gamestop! (lesson learned)

I mean I GUESS at the moment you could try to argue that the Remake is rarer than the classic game, but for $680 USD, I could get myself some of the rarer quest packs. $170 is probably what you'd expect to play for a classic set... if you don't mind it being in used condition rather than pristine in shrink wrap (just so you can open it on camera and impress your friends, sorry at least two channels already did that on youtube).

Interesting, I've decided to give my own take on battle foam type solutions here.

I put a huge premium on time. All of the other foam vendors are way overpriced for what you get. I've always read Feldherr strikes the right balance. To each their own.

I hear the thing about time, but to me if you are going to order something and wait a long time for it to ship, vs. picking something up at the local store (curbside if you're afraid of infection) and attacking it with a blade for an hour or two at most.

People love their gray foam blocks, they seem to sell well at all the game shops I've been to. The custom cards I had made came with a couple of squares of white foam, that are going straight into my boxes when I get them home.

But there's gold in them thar couch cushions... |_P

I'm in no rush, I am building a wooden version of the game box and won't start until I am done painting all of the figures, which won't be for a while.

Now THERE would be an awesome project (one I'm not qualified to complete)... forget metal, how about an ALL WOOD set? Maybe larger scale for ease of carving.

There are "wood material type" 3d printers out there so I guess you wouldn't have to be an expert wood carver to get good results, but would certainly take some time and maybe some more coin.

Definitely not a cost saving project!

I got the Battle Foam for my Mythic Tier and I am pretty happy with it. I might have laid it out a little different but I am cool with letting someone else make it for me.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I'm sure I've said this before, I think it ought to be available in every country that had it back in the day. It's to bad that process is so slow.

Thnx.
I will get it eventually. Question is 2021 or 2022.

Back in the day I just walked into a store, picked up the base set + KK & RotWK and checked out.....and (one? or 2?) year(s) later saw Mages of Morcar in the store and bought that on the spot.
Different times.

LOL. Only 19 days later....and I have the Base Game + RotWL. (KK will be shipped in 2022)
Amazon did the trick.

+the cards, board, furniture
-the minis. It misses the Games Workshop feeling that was essential for me 31 years ago. But hey, I still have my base game + KK + RotWL + AtOH + WoM sets from back then so I'll use those minis.

Over the years I finally invested in and got decent at making wooden boxes etc. I finally have a great table saw, chop saw, router etc. DEFINITELY an investment. I have a wooden box with no inserts for my OG HQ set, and I a stained inlay on the lid. I'll post pics later. I'll basically model this wooden chest after the new Core Game box so the foam inserts fit, and then there you go.
