mageknight is a good source of minis too, they had a decent elf bard (after a repaint) and druid, and pretty much any "evil sorcerer" can fit for a warlock.

as always, heroquest is literally what you make it.

That is what we all will be doing. The lamentation is because we have to instead of being satisfied with the official product.

I really hope the new quest books come in a quest pack box with extra figures and tiles like the old ones did, a careful reading of their promised product guarantees no such thing though, I am afraid they will just come loose without even a box.

Hopefully they will be generous with this one and we get it too to the delight of all fans who backed it

Worth a shot, yes. But part of me wonders how many people are part of the project were actually interested in the game.
It's easy enough to remake the game as the majority is based off of previous sources.
If it's rereleased by business men who only have interest in profit, this message will reach no one.
However if it's being put forth by creative people with the game at heart, your words might reach them.
But judging by the new characters it seems to a mixture between the two. The new characters are creative but don't match the charm of the original, which leads me to believe businessmen are in control of this that hired DnD players to create the new characters. Neither of which has the original game at heart.
So inevitably it comes down to whomever reads the post from this company, and how much stroke they have in it.

I was just imagining a quest booklet (with at least 2 quests, no idea how many exactly... past official quest packs have had 5-10). Only the (not reached) Dragon one mentioned new tiles.

Would it be nice? Sure. Let them know, they said they wanted to know how we feel and what we wanted!

Sorry Joe Manganiello, hope your work finds a good home someday!

They asked for suggestions of future projects to work on. Is no one yelling Dwarf and Wizard unreleased packs?

I'll yell it! (somebody please translate my yells into Twitter-speak...)

Of course I don't imagine those quest packs would bear any resemblance to the original notes, but who knows, maybe Hasbro has access to those sealed documents and could make something out of it worthy of the old names? We know a few sketches and miniatures... centaurs, minotaurs, beast-men (?), giant spiders, evil dwarves and sabertooth cats.

Elf, Barbarian, Dwarf and Wizard Quest packs would be sweet. So would Ogre Horde, Wizards of Morcar and Dark Company. Adventure Design Kit could be updated into an App I suppose... (until then we have Heroscribe!).

I know I'd be interested in those new quest packs. Hopefully Hasbro would be willing to sell those on the side for those who didn't buy the new game. I mean, having a furnace blow up in the basement a few weeks ago didn't help matters there much, but then again, I also happen to have the original system plus both of the basic expansions. (because when I was 16 I had a hard scraping together $25 for the Barbarian and Elf expansions before my local store decided they weren't going to order any more of them.)

Important Note about Returns!

Postby Kurgan » November 8th, 2020, 11:09 pm

I just thought of something, and this probably seems like nitpicking, but it's attention to detail, dangit... the PIPS (the spots) on the Red Dice should be GOLD (not white). Agree?
If not, it isn't too hard to paint them, but it can be tricky to find a nice shiny gold paint for the job...

Agree on selling the stuff on the side, that way cut out the middle man on ebay.

From Hasbro:

I wonder about Zavvi (the UK distributor). It doesn't show all the same unlock goals.. does this mean UK customers won't get all of the same unlocks as the US & Canada? That would be stupid, I hope that's not true... I mean, Stephen Baker... the UK... if his quest pack isn't included, I'd be

From an earlier post of mine:

Kurgan wrote:I don't normally read their Twitter page, so I missed a few things...

It's been mentioned, but a big KUDOS for this (available in the UK via Zavvi).

I wonder if that's a typo though.. 149.99 British pounds is more than 149 US dollars (more like $193.66).

And EB Games (Australia). $300 (equivalent to $212.44 USD). It says "available September 2021" which is cool.

and Might Ape (New Zealand) gives release date as Oct 31, 2021. $329 (equivalent to 217.38 USD)

The EB Games (Australia) link seems to be broken... I feel for my Aussie friends! Hopefully that's just a mistake. The MightyApe Link also disappeared. I wonder if this has something to do with the fundraiser ending? Hoping they clarify this situation soon. Zavvi's page reads:

Sorry, unfortunately this product is currently out of stock. Add it to your wishlist to receive a back in stock email notification.

Hope Hasbro clarifies on the international releases soon. Speaking of which... they need to release a set in Japan... you know it needs to happen! And Brazil!
