That could be remedied fairly easily, actually. Just make up a d100 treasure chart based on the treasure deck with adjusted stats for money and items of course, or better yet, make a few based on the success of the initial d20 roll and add a few sweet items in the high end of the dice roll(things that weren't in HQ). Actually, I might use that same table for the less serious parts of my normal dnd campaigns, hmm, that's neat.
Sure it's pretty scary when the witch lord returns but what you should really be afraid of is "Resurrection of the Witch Lord". Resurrected baddies always come back more threatening than ever, usually kind of demonic with wings and horns and hell fire to announce their arrival. Think Gannondorf or Mother Brain from Super Metroid.

Be sure to have plenty of rolls that net nothing. Don't let your game go down the Monty Haul road.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Well, that could be partially managed by a mix of difficulty rating and empty percentages on the d100 chart. I'm so happy we are talking about this as it improves my DMing in general. Huzzah!

Traps!!
Oh yeah,
Figure traps are set by a level 5 thief for the easy missions and a level 10 thief for the harder missions. (Supper dificult traps should be considered set by a level 15+ thief.) Thus those traps that launch arrows, spears or other things that can strike would roll to hit as a Thief of the apropriate level.

Spear Traps should do D4 for low level dungeons and a D6 for mid level dungeons and a D8+2 for high level traps.
Pit Traps do a D6 per every 10 feet drop. Pits in HQ dungeons are considered 10' pits. Adding spikes at the bottom of the pit shoud increase the damage by an additional D4, for a total of 2-10 damage potential.
Needle traps on chests or furniture would be a matter of Save vrs Poison or die.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Save or die, hmm. Not sure, but I would likely dumb it down a bit. Con damage is always nasty enough when my characters get poisoned.

D4 per turn until cured is rather brutal.
