I did used to put pits down on the board as soon as they were in line of sight, but in recent years realised they are probably meant to stay hidden until someone fell into one lol.

Apparently there is a difference between the NA and BV rules in that regards. I believe you place it in BV rules, and merely point to the square in NA rules. (Relying on players to either remove it ... or fall in as they forget the location.)

That’s a good solution for the Secret Doors.

You know, since this isn't a typical kickstarter, I wish we could pick our own stretch goals. Like, if we unlock the Druid but don't make it to 2.6 or 2.8 mil, I'd like to trade my unlocked Warlock and Druid hero for the extra Mummy and Orc figures. But I guess it doesn't work that way. You need the extra $200,000 to make the unique figure cast or something, right?

This being such a relatively small kickstarter makes it very unlikely that we'll be able to add or switch stuff around.
Also it'll be a logistic nightmare to pack specific miniatures with every order.

There are many possibilities. I imagine it probably going like this... "Heroic" box shows up in your mail Nov 2021... or the "Mythic" box plus Kellar's Keep box and Return of the Witch Lord box... plus the "unlocks" show up in plain boxes. Limited extras show up in plain boxes for pledgers as well.

After the fundraiser is over, it's anyone's guess what they plan to do. I would imagine the three boxes (GS, KK and ROTWL) would be available at the very least from their website and high end game shops.

They could tray to cram those "unlocks" into the expansion boxes. Maybe put the warlock in with ROTWL and the druid in with KK, and split the bard into two parts, so if you buy one you get his legs and one of the cards and if you buy the other you get his torso (glue together) and the other two cards...

BUT, IF THEY'RE SMART... they'll release them to big box chains and popular retail stores as well soon after. And the "Unlocks" (I understand if they want the "Limited Extras" to be the sole domain of Ebay scalpers to fight over) would be purchasable as well. But we'll see.

Is this going to be online print to order only? I'd like to get some kind of official announcement. They haven't said the whole thing is going to be "limited edition." Since they're on track to raise at least $2.5 million within the next three weeks, why keep it at that?

The Wizard was always underpowered especially in the US version where a few spells were nerfed. Rockskin lowered from +2 to +1 defense die, adding LOS to every spell and I think ball of flame was lowered 1 attack point as well? The staff was also lowered to 1 attack die from 2. Either way, I printed off UK versions of the spells and staff, as well as every card, since I also their style better too

There are also the bracers and cloak in UK that dont exist in US except for the Cloak artifact to be found later on. Giving the Wizard access to these is a great start to make him more balanced

I do like the idea of keeping a spell if it makes a kill...Genie over use aside here it'd be fun to watch an overzealous Wizard lose his Genie to a goblin/skeleton first roll haha

Wand
Cost: 125 gold coins
This wand gives you the attack strength of 2 Combat Dice against any monster you can “see.” If you roll 2 or more black shields while attacking, it drains and thereafter gives you 1 Combat Die. May only be used by the Warlock..

Now there is a reason for buying the Wand, just as with other weapons. I estimate it will likely drain every few Quests.

Make her start with a drained 1 :skull: wand, and then simply allow her to buy the wand. Done.
That way she gets to level up a bit, but there's no reason to create a money sink. . . .

Good point about the money sink, as a Crossbow for other Heroes is a one-time purchase. Evening up the Wizard with the Warlock could be better achieved through a Wizard-only Artifact Card or two. However, I think some cost adjustment is needed to better fit the Wand with other Hero weapon progression:

Wand
Cost: 250 gold coins
This wand gives you the attack strength of 2 Combat Dice against any monster you can “see.” May only be used by the Warlock.

A Dread Wand artifact might also be a good idea for later down the line. It works as a Wand, plus it gives 3 Combat Dice against Dread Warriors and Gargoyles.

In the Danish version at least, all the artifacts has no class restrictions.
You can literally kit the wizard out in Borin's Armour and the Spirit Blade. Noice!

Also Chaos Warriors are called "Krigere fra Mørkets Magter", which translates to "Warriors of the Dark Forces". Pretty cool!
Wonder why they didn't just call them "Kaos Krigere" though. Seems like the obvious thing to do.
