Morcar miniature

Postby DullandRusty » August 5th, 2020, 12:49 am

Below is my morcar from zealot.

Image

I altered the chair a bit it so his hand is on the arm rest. He is a little bigger scale than the heroes but narration if the wizard growing before the heroes' eyes as he is filled with the power of chaos solves that.

It was such a great Kickstarter and I can't recommend their stuff enough. Great work Thantos!

I would have made the stone of the chair a dark grey but since I made the chair wood in my card I had to stick with a reddish brown. All in all, I am happy. Image

Great mini. Really love your base/tile too.

25 BP though! I would prefer to have lower BP for him, but greater protection given from an evil artefact/special rule.
But it makes sense if you have high BP for all your bosses. I’ve seen others on the forums using dragons and other powerful bosses with 20+ Body Points.

Him being the final boss was why the high BP, but I may have to change it to lower bp and higher defense etc. I like the idea of weaker physically but super strong magically. I just didn't want to get too low and have hi I'm killed off too fast.

Actually, you just gave me a great idea. I could add an element to the fight where the heroes are destroying objects of chaos weakening him and reducing his total bp. If they figure that out the fight becomes much easier but he will be attacking them while they are running around the room trying to destroy these things. Eventually his BP is at a manageable level and they can fight him directly. If they don't figure it out and try to attack him directly then the fight is hard and they face his full bp.

This idea would make him weaker but also prolong the fight and fit with the narrative of him being the darker side of mentor. Destroying the chaos items reduces the morcar side of the split personality's control and making him easier to beat. I could also have him lose spells etc by destroying specific items around the room.

Maybe the artifacts they need to destroy are pages of loretome strewn across the room.

Another option would be to boost his defense like you said so he rolls a really high number of dice, then reduce his defense as these items are destroyed. Or make it so he defends on either shield or on a skull so he is hard to hit until the artifacts are destroyed, at which point he would defend normally.
