TILES FOR THE QUEST BOOK SYSTEM

Postby gravaillon » Thursday July 21st, 2011 5:43pm

Hi everybody !

I have made some new tiles for the quests of the game system quest book. They will give more variety to these old quests I hope. It's a part of my new edition of the game.

That's all for now... I hope you'll enjoy them. I will certainely do more tiles for all of the official expansions. So tell me what you think about this project.

Absolutely beautiful dude. Make sure some weasel doesn't try to re-sell them on eBay.
What do I specify for print size so they will print correct size?

What shall I say...?
I'm stunned with awe...

How did you manage to get them looking so "Heroquestian"?
I think I did a pretty well job with my tiles, but they're nothing compared with your's. Compare for exaple the skulls in my cell block with yours in Sir Ragnar's cell! Much more HeroQuest style.

did you paint these from the scratch or did you use some pieces found elsewhere?
Have a look ;)

You could probably also use the cell tile for the cell in quest 6 (or any other quest that uses those 2 by 3 rooms as cells.

The tiles you have for quest 12 and 14 seem to be the wrong size/shape, should be 4 by 4.

The Tile for quest 7 looks like the left bottom side is raised... however if you look at how the furniture is laid out in the room it doesn't seem to match.

Other than that the art work is great, i'm glad there are talented people out there!

thx big bene. I use some parts of the warhammer quest board. So I use the traditionnal copy/paste function and other tool like stamp to make my tiles. I use photoshop for making the structure and the shadows (that gives some 3D effects) and corel painter for erasing some cut line and other defaults, and also adding some lightning elements and ambiance.
That's not very hard, just try big bene (I like your idea of the cell !). I have also thinking of building tiles with 3D studio max. You just make a tile library with a lot of texture from the warhammer boardgame and you can make some columns too and then you export the upper view of your creation and you have your perfect tiles with great perspective effects (like pit for example)... It's just a project for now, but I will post some example soon later.

the cell tile for quest 6... Damned, I haven't thinking about it !!!!! Thanks !
All my tiles are at the right sizes... (and all the spaces for the furniture are well made too) It's just because my work is based on the remaster of the game system quest book by heroquest france. (I work with him on a new edition of heroquest, with corriged rules, cards, quests and a new awesome design !!!- see the topic in this forum. HEROQUEST NEW EDITION SOON AVAILABLE)

Excellent tiles.
Have already printed them off and used a couple in a few quests. They add a nice touch to the gameboard.
