My gaming groups must be rare. None of us eat and drink at them... Why is food even at your board games? Don't you have enough to do there or did you not eat lunch/dinner, or are you even hungry?

Asides from a bowl of M&M's or chips, my groups don't really include food either...

I can't go 4-6 hours without eating. When we used to do it after hours at the Pub, people usually bought PIZZA or Chicken Parmos covered in Bechamel source (it's a bit of a Teesside NE England speciality) and that would be much worse.

4 years ago, I wouldn't have cared: unpainted proxy models, dirty original material.

Now I do care: most of my models are painted now. For the game cards and the game board, they are ow selfmade and can be replaced at any time. But the models are painted now!

So if I had to provide something, it would very much go in the direction of M&M. Something clean to the touch.

Currently I play only online so that is no issue.

Even if you are only chomping on carrot sticks and celery bits, it's probably a good idea to protect your stuff.

I guess you wouldn't fend well with Scalextric... Those highly detailed cars aren't cheap, especially the digital ones. It doesn't take long before bits are flying off everywhere, which does add to the tension, the more delicate the car, the more tense those near misses are. There's no protecting them.

I just don't get the point in protecting something that suits being rustic, it clashes. A nice glossy futuristic game were everything is gleaming, yeah possibly but not HeroQuest, the tat is actually in the design.

My last picture was nothing... I'm going to get sleeves for all these.

It's that or everyone wears white gloves at the gaming table... (and no messy snacks/beverages)

Euro-Size cards appear to fit in the Catan board game sized card sleeves (they’re 54mm x 80mm)

Now I know what people mean when they say "double-sleeved." Apparently some folks put their rare but heavily used cards into one sleeve and another sleeve on the other end, so there's no openings (and squeeze out the air I guess). This makes them a bit thicker so fewer will fit into a deck box. I'm not sure this level of protection is really needed, but still.

All you healthy people who eat nothing and only drink pure water at the gaming table... ;)

What's the best sleeve for the mini-cards? (NA undersized cards for KK & ROTWL)
