In the event that the Genie fails to roll any :skull: would anyone consider mingling the Genie's 5 attack dice with a Potion of Battle and/or Future Sight spell?

Potions work on the hero who drinks them. Genie can't drink a potion, so no. Giving the creativity bonus one could say the Genie is a model with a very short in-game duration but still is a model with full rights.... well then yes.

You have some question!

I think I would allow it because it still is 200g to use a potion of Battle. It says "If you have a really weak roll of the attack dice, you may drink this blood red potion. It allows you one reroll of your attack dice."

Frozen Horror, Quest 9 Heart of Ice: use the Genie to bi-pass the Crystal Key and open the central room to face the Frozen Horror. In essence Quest 10 doesn't need to happen... and that would maximize this spell to it's fullest potential.

I'd disallow that on the grounds that specific rules (Quest notes) trump general ones (Genie spell.) The Quest notes read that the door may only be opened if a Hero with the Crystal Key is adjacent to the door. The spell should fail, but it might be okay to instead open the door tho the spiral stairway, showing the way.

I’ve always thought of the genie as being an elemental, or some other sort of ethereal creature, and I can’t see it being able to use a potion. I wouldn’t allow it on those grounds alone. This might seem an arbitrary decision, but we have elementals of other types pop up in our Heroquest games, and we have precedent for what they can and can’t do.
