Your Fimir example won’t work because the trap is placed once you find it.

I don’t have an EU game screen.

I get your point that it wouldn't be a useful monster killing tactic though, since you can't search for it with the monster in the same room, and so you couldn't know ahead of time where the trigger was to purposely trigger it. Still if you fatefully tripped the trigger with the monster in the target area, that critter gets crushed!

Somebody has that game screen out there. I swore I saw a picture of it once (with the furniture icons all over it, similar to the "armory" board in the NA set). Maybe Ebay will have a picture...

So that says exactly what the rule book did. Only explains the traps, not how to get rid of them.

I’m sure I have a screen somewhere, just couldn’t find it.

Found it on toolkit equipment card. If you have toolkit you roll 1 skull you lose 1 BP but trap still removed. Dwarf automatically removes and doesn’t need toolkit.

Ah, should have guessed it would be on the Toolkit card. Good find!

Edit: And that's more forgiving than the NA release, where if you fail the disarm, the trap appears in full force, as if you had just blundered into it (permanent hole or block in the case of Falling Block or Pit!).

A new thread has been started for doing a nitpicky unboxing of the 2021 Remake when it comes out this fall. We could use some experts on the subtelties of the EU 1st and 2nd editions to volunteer (if you wish)... Check it out here and thanks in advance !

Not so much a rules comparison as a lore comparison... the intro text for the EU version includes a line about how Morcar has summoned forces which will serve him for a time according to their own dark purposes but will ultimately destroy him (a variation of this appears in the PC game too). This line is missing from the NA version, but I like it.

This could figure into someone's speculative "kill Zargon" scenario. In my head-canon I imagine it has some tie to the attempted revival of the "chaos gods" (a la the Japanese game system).

The movement dice that came with our NA HQ set were the same size, shape and material as the combat dice... wooden with rounded corners... red with engraved/inscribed "pips" that were painted gold.

I assumed the original UK dice were the same. Is that not the case... or was there a variant that was a different color?

My UK set had them as red with gold pips, but they were smaller than the combat dice.
