Of course you haven't ;)

I actually like it as a rule, but isn't a Barbarian with a Battleaxe (5x :skull: ) a bit OP?

He still dies easily enough. One Command spell and the party is history.

Nope. His maximum Defend is 5, and he can't move unimpaired in plate.
So he's gonna go for chain mail and helmet, that's 5 AD/4 DD. Not too much.

If you set the maximum Attack Dice to half of a Hero's starting Body Points rounded down, then the Barbarian can have 5 Attack dice delayed until he gains the Amulet of the North from The Frozen Horror. My choice is to opt for a great axe or great sword here, which must be bought with coin like the rest of the power ups.

If the Heroes get a Dragon's Eye from HeroQuestJp, they can each choose one permanent attribute increase.

Our standard game is myself as Morcar, my partner as a female barbarian with the figure from the US version expansion set. The oldest daughter whos 15 being the dwarf, her friend whos nearly always comes with us to our holiday home playing the male barbarian, The 13 year old daughter plays the wizard, the 11 year old daughter plays the Elf.
They do frequently ask for me to get them female versions of the characters but despite my efforts I have difficulty finding something suitable.

Thanks for the reply, I actually bought some Reaper minatures to use on the game but have found them totally unsuitable, their far too small to be used with heroquest. Realistically I think any figure would need to be at least 60mm or 2 inches tall to be useful for heroquest.

I bought these figures and placing them next to heroquest figures it looks very silly.

I wasn't aware of the size issue. Those minis are halflings though so they would look weird. Have you tried the normal ones?

I'd of thought 60mm too big or is that including weapon hight etc?
