And I have also detected some bugs:

In Q9, Notes E do not work correctly in the app because no Lunar Charm is given, instead of that appears a note telling you that you may use a Lunar Charm in a sorcerer's table which is wrong.

In Q5, Note C room, a splash tells us that the merchant had been rescued before having rescued which makes no sense. Nevertheless it does not affect the gaming experience beacuse it appears again when the merchant is actually saved later.

In Q2, Note C: if the goblin sees a non disguise Hero, he does not activate the falling block trap in the app as the questbook says will do, instead of that, the goblin in the app just runs through the corridor for attacking the Hero.

One final side comment: Elven Archers in the app, attack diagonally with 4 attack dice (not 1 die as if they were adjacent), even being next to the target. I think this reinforces the official Hasbro concept of allowing the use of missile weapons against close objectives if they are diagonally placed.


Good insights HispaZargon... I was surprised it came out so fast, maybe the next update will fix those issues?

It has been pointed out that the 1.80 update does not include the new artwork for the Rise of the Dread Moon Guardian Knight. This along with the online "Knightfall" quest are expected to be in a future update.

The fog in ROTDM is colored purple like that found in the MOTM quests.
under "Use Special----> Use Artifact" they've added Cloak of Shadows
under "Use Equipment" Use Caltrops and Use Smokebomb are added
nothing new added to Use Treasure. The arrangement of icons changes when you pick your first quest. You can still click on each quest book image individually to get a description before choosing it.

I see when you hire Elven mercs they let you toggle between gold value and reputation tokens. Stock is 1 of each of the four types as expected and you can start hiring these mercs in quest 2 and beyond.

If there was any doubt, you can only hire the elven mercenaries within ROTDM (and can't hire human mercs there). I don't know if the Alchemy rules are implemented in any other quests outside of ROTDM.

Not exactly App related, but I do wonder if the Alchemy Deck (and the rules associated with it utilizing the Alchemist’s Bench) is meant to be used outside of RotDM, or if its meant to be a gimmick for that particular quest pack. I suppose we will see if the App eventually allows the alchemy rules in earlier quest packs, or if it as option to turn on/off.

Nothing stops you from using it outside of ROTDM, even if the App doesn't recognize it.

I have found another bad functioning in the app, now in the final quest...


BEWARE, EXPLICIT SPOILERS AHEAD!!!


During the second and final combat against Magrian, she is able to use some special Dread Skills, apart of her Dread Spells list. Well, the use of this skills by the AI is not very well implemented. For example, she never uses in the app the skills "Consume Magic" or "Terror", and skill "Reflection" does not work exactly as written in the questbook (in the app it reflects a spell against the Hero who cast it -see picture below-, however the questbook says this skill reflects 'the damaged inflinged' which is a different mechanic). The skill "Shift Reality" is the only one I have detected as fully operational in the app, allowing Magrian to cast an extra Dread Spell on her turn.

And finally one curiosity I have detected in the app: the ilustration of the Q4 keyrings of RotDM shows just one key with the same look as the keys shown in the Agrain's Keys illustration of the app, however Agrain's Keys illustration showed more keys, not just one.

I recently tried playing with the app, and it likes to cheat!

In these pictures you can see it allows monsters to move through and even stand in furniture squares!

I played 1 quest Mage of the Mirror Quest 1 and it only happened in this one room, so maybe it's just a problem in this one specific case.

Lol that zombie is quite persistent!

I haven’t used the app yet, but the more I see it the more I wish they had a full mobile game version with the same graphics. I know some people mentioned concern that a mobile game may cause people not to buy physical copies, but I’m sure most people buying the mobile game would already have the game at home. It would be so great to play a few turns here or there at work, or on a road trip or whatever.

I think you have active the "Intangible Furniture" option. Check it in the general settings of the app and disable it. It should correctly work after it.

I think the best "feature" to be developed next for the App would be a multi-player option where you can have four players, with four boards, in four locations using the app to connect to a single game session. Appreciate that isn't a straight-forward feature but it would meet the need of a lot of people to play non-locally.

:whiteshield: = shield, cancels out one "hit"

I would think if they made a fully featured multiplayer app (a full replacement for the physical game) they would probably sell it. Many would find it cheaper than the board game and buy it instead... etc. And possibly never know how much fun it can be to play as Zargon and to make your own quests!
