So, talked with the Gamestop agent for about 15 mins. Unlike Hasbro, I got through within a minute, no waiting on hold through a long queue. I kind of remember the Gamestop employees always throwing around small talk about their love of games, so that was kind of fun to hear (rather than just trying to push products).

I nevertheless shared my frustration with the delays. He said we have no way of knowing until tomorrow if it's delayed or not. It seems to be on a first come, first serve basis, based on the supply they were given (he didn't blame anybody, which I didn't expect him to do on the call). Whatever it says on the website should be accurate he said (I did mention the discrepancy with the app thing but he didn't comment on it). He said usually they don't worry about shipping delays except around the holidays (covid is a special case).

This particular agent said the Knight was only exclusive in terms of early release, that he expected it to be open in retail later on. So I guess we'll find out tomorrow...

No problem my dude... for all we know you'll get yours before I get mine, depending upon when the supplies run out again. Thank goodness it's just a plastic figure and not toilet paper. Hmm... I resemble that remark! Wait...

Really? The knight package is only $15 plus shipping. A delay of one month to me is still better than buying a scalped version.

If you're going to go to that trouble I'd say check out these alternatives instead... plastic knights and sword and shield in plastic

And though you will have to trim the bottom, here is what I'd recommend if you want to stick with the round base:

I use the cheap "apple barrel" paints commonly found at stores like Walmart or Hobby lobby (a dollar or less for 2 oz bottle). Typically paint in matte ("real red" is nice but it's gloss, either way give it a light coat of varnish to protect it) then an overcoat of this varnish.

If you don't have the brush, knife (doesn't have to be x-acto just a sharp strong knife) and paints already, and you pay through the nose on shipping (instead of getting them from stores), and get the cards professionally printed, you'll pay a little more to re-create them (and get cooler looking models), but not $100 unless you're building a small army. And the fact is you'll have invested in more material to create other minis... those bases, brush, paint, varnish will be invaluable in any other projects you might do along these lines.

To say nothing of using 3d printing... (then you can skip the base solution but you'll still want to paint unless doing in red plastic).

Like the man said, they are getting more stocks and other stores are getting them. If GS is pissing you off (I understand) cancel that order and place it somewhere else.

Re: My order: the date for expected available date has disappeared but it still says awaiting product availability and no email from GS yet. Not too surprised at this point...

Same here. Maybe there will be some update Monday? I presume they must be filling up orders and we're not near enough the front of the line. The real question is will there be another month delay. I know what the minis look like, so I know what I'm getting.

FYI, I called in, and the girl I spoke with was somewhat helpful. She said that when something it back ordered, it often means they will get more, otherwise they cancel the orders. Also, she says supplies come in on Thursday, so call or check in then.
