It said "unboxing of two previously unreleased Heroquest expansions," but wasn't Prophecy of Telor and Spirit Queen's Torment already technically "released"?
I mean one could even say the same for Against the Ogre Hoard, as that was released many many years ago.

In an absolute sense they're released, but these retail sets would be a new formulation of those previously released content, just like ATOH was released back in the 90's but this is a remake version. I don't think we can expect it will be two totally brand new creations that we've never heard of before.

I mean, what if it were? The Dwarf and Wizard Quest Packs (with new names and new re-imagined content)?

Would they give us two new hero collections that were for the Warlock and Druid? No, I don't think it will be that, but I suppose anything is possible.

The fact that these are going on Pre-Order to me shows that they are coming out soon, and how would they keep it completely secret with no teases prior to the unboxing up till now? It seems like it would be something we already know something about. An extensive new creation like ROTDM took a long time and they dripped the information to us prior to the "big reveal."

Another tactic that Encarmine loves is getting us thinking about other things right before the big reveal, a "swerve" if you will. I'm sticking to my prediction that it's the Mythic content split into two of the smaller boxes, probably with some unpredictable bonus content.

Oh I'm not arguing with your prediction, Prophecy of Telor and Spirit Queen's Torment sound more likely then Against the Ogre Hoard or the Wizard/Dwarf quest packs, I'm simply remarking on the inaccuracy of their words.

To the world of fans at large, the Mythic stuff might as well not be in release... it is out of print!

Yes, MOTM was snuck in under the radar. But two brand new, extensive expansions? Still, when it comes to predicting these things I'm often wrong, but this I consider an educated guess. If they decide to just give us Against the Ogre Horde and Wizards of Morcar next Friday instead... I'm not going to be the least bit upset, though.

But there I got getting swerved, gonna stick to my earlier prediction. It'll be two boxes of Mythic content turned retail.

Re-release of the Mythic content would be an easy to do, extremely profitable endeavor. The tooling for the Mythic figs is already done. So that right there is a big cost savings. Plus, if they release it for the Holidays, I'm sure many will pick it up as a gift for a friend who is nto HQ. KK and RotWL had 16 minis in each so I think the extra mythic monster variants can be split between the two packs no problem.

The only big question I have is will there be a few alt monsters sculpts or a couple totally unique miniatures to attract people who already have the Mythic stuff. I think new tiles and cards are a given at this point for these packs.

ALSO, and more importantly for my wallet, will this mean a new release schedule going forward? Will we see two big box expacks and and two smaller ones each year from now on? More hero packs also? Are dice packs going to be a regular thing as well? Hasbro has never pulled back on releasing more stuff as long as it's currently selling well.

It can be considered as in music industry, where artists often release songs as b-sides on single only.
Then when they release these tracks in album or box sets, they usually specify "previously unreleased" next to the track name although the track was already released on a single.
So, who knows?

So from the tweet on AH's "X" about Essen, it says the unboxing will be on Oct 6th at 5pm. Germany has one time zone and they are 6 hours ahead of EST. So the reveal would be 11AM EST on Friday. I am hoping AH will post the reveal on "X" as well as announcing the preorder time for whatever the reveal could be. Oh and I'm assuming that the reveals will be available in the US as well at that time.

The fact that the two new reveals are said to be exclusive to Hasbro Pulse (at least in Germany) reinforces that it will be Telor and Queen in my eyes. It was part of the Haslab so why not keep them both in house? Makes sense

To the few collector types complaining about being baited (or "forced") into double dipping... consider those paying scalpers $300+ for the mythic content. This would probably cost you $70 total.

The last update from Avalon Bill (Thanks GeekGoneGiddy & Seekhashem for reposting the Q&A) implies that the Mythic stuff will be in those boxes but that it may be tweaked (alternate sculpts similar to the Knight's treatment in ROTDM?). He also played coy about Spirit Queen's Torment being in there...

Ogres now or Ogres later is what a lot of people are wondering!
