Yeah mine arrived today. The black foam holding the dice in block out reflective light and make it seem purple with gold paint.
But as soon as I pull them out and exposed them to light, the first thing that came to my mind was "Fruity Pebbles." Nowhere near as dramatic as Dread Dice with gold paint. That would've been nice.

@wallydubbs: Can we see a close up with the cover off but the dice still inside the package please? No flash, if you can manage it.

Yeah they look like a snack. Not too impressive.

This image you posted above speaks volumes... Dread Veil, First Light, and the Mountain Dew giveaway dice are almost invisible (like camouflage) compared to the others. I know a lot depends upon lightning and background, but wow!

That whole "take the cover off and it looks different" experience you related reminds me of opening my Return of the Jedi "See Threepio" figure from the 1983 kenner toyline back in the day. I swear it looked gold inside the package, but took off the plastic bubble and suddenly it looked much more silver (like "white gold"). Still a cool figure, but I swear it was tinted, and I was momentarily disappointed.

Disclaimer: I don't have these dice and don't plan to buy them, but I'm trying to be fair based on the info you guys are presenting. So far it seems the color being "off" is not just my subjective impression.

Just to confirm that some Facebook users are reporting that first pre-orders of Spanish version of First Light are being delivered right now in Spain.

However, as far as I know they look to be small stores, Hasbro Pulse and Amazon pre-orders are still pending, which are expected for end-May or June.

@ Kurgan: I totally agree, if you have poor eyesight the Dread Dice & Mountain Dew Dice blend in and aren't for you. When I went to Dungeons of Hope I color coded the dice for each person at my table. I used the Dread Dice, but the lighting wasn't all that great there.

Here's the First Light Dice picture you requested:

They do look slightly better there. Maybe there's a way to roll them inside the tin? (I admit, it would be noisier)

Not great for the dice, either. But you could line the interior of the bottom tin with craft felt or some other relatively heavy cloth, and that would protect the dice and reduce the noise.

I'm pretty sure it's because the dice is translucent. When the light is exposed to all sides of the dice. The fruity pebble color shines through. The black foam blocks out reflective light.

Telegram user Marekkrupa posted this picture recently taken in a GAME shop in Sevilla city, Spain, so as confirmed, First Light / El Despertar is finally available for retail in Spain (44.99€ price):

Are your dice cracked? Malwhip posted pics in the HeroQuestFans discord that his cracked dice got replaced by Hasbro (UK) Consumer Care. You should reach out to them...
