Mine are all the same too... Not that I actually used a caliper on it, but they all look the same.

Hello,

My version won't be out until March. However, I've already taken a look at the quest book online. Unfortunately, the new adventures look alarmingly easy and short!!! The old quests also seem to have been made easier. Can those of you who have already received the quest pack confirm this? I would find that really disappointing. I was hoping for a difficulty level similar to BQ and EQ. There are already more than enough easy quest series...

I quite agree. I want really, really tough quests now.

You CAN download the original, that will boost the difficulty of half the quests.

Hello,

I've had the original since the 90s. We usually played according to US rules when it came to the physical strength of monsters. I'll probably have to redesign the booklet for our group. That means adjusting the new adventures in terms of size and difficulty. My heroes have all completed over 40 adventures. All skills, etc. are fully leveled up. So I don't need something like the new WoM.
It would have been nice to just unpack the expansion and play without having to invest a lot of time and effort first.

Yep. I got sick of having to go through each quest to add stuff. It took some initial effort to produce some Evil Wizard cards and develop rules that worked, but now they add a nice level of difficulty to a quest. They also hurry the Heroes along a bit, so it also solves the door fighting problem. Most of the time I just have to add these cards, but even that is not enough sometimes.

There are some really difficult quests on this site, but that does of course require some effort printing out, making tiles and cards and getting together figures and components from official sets.

The problem they have is that each expansion has to stand on its own and be playable with just the base set. We have just been playing too much for too long!

Hello,

The issue of door blocking has long since ceased to be an issue for us. We adapted our rules accordingly ages ago. Under certain conditions, heroes are allowed to search for traps even in the presence of monsters. Since then, our game has become much freer and better. This also allows me to make quests more difficult, purely from a visual standpoint, because I know that heroes can almost always enter a room in the first round and usually make three attacks there.
Here is an example of what a normal quest looks like for us (the excerpt is from a quest series with 10 quests):

The quest comes from a series I wrote. The entire series is titled Shadows of the Past.
This series comprises three books.
1. The Book of the Past—6 quests on the original game board
2. The Tablet of Lost Mages—10 modular quests
3. The Ogre Tyrant—8 modular quests

The excerpt above is from the second book.

The entire series tells the backstory of Mentor and Morcar through handouts. At least, that's my version :-)
However, they are all written in German.
There are also some cards, overlays, etc. Also in German.

Greetings, Thrasher79
