The only addendum I know of that they made to treasure chests is that the hero must be adjacent to the chest to search it. This is a normal House rule to me, so it's not a big change. But part of me thinks they wouldn't have bothered amending this search rule had they not added the mimic (Dread Shifter), as the hero needs to be adjacent for the ambush to activate.

The trajectory seems to have been ever increasing difficulty with these releases.

Now they're all "out of order" in release...

GS/KK/ROTWL/SQT/PoT/CoPD (2021), FH (2022), ROTDM/MOTM (2023), ATOH (2024), JoD/FL (2025), WOM (2026... well, really 2025!)

Doug says play them however you want of course.

This is a fair and legitimate point. Asides from Keller's Keep and Prophecy of Telor none of these have to be placed in any particular order. Keller's Keep is the direct sequel as the Game System ends with a cliffhanger. Prophecy of Telor should fall closely to the Game System as well since it's unlikely Melar would lie Dormant in the Talisman for long. You might be able to make a similar argument for Return of the Witch Lord as he needs to heal from his defeat at Barak Tor.

Spirit Queen's Torment, Frozen Horror, Against the Ogre Horde & Crypt of Perpetual Darkness have no ties to any other expansion.

But things get a little convoluted among Rise of the Dread Moon, Wizards of Morcar and Jungles of Delthrak.
Logistically Mage of the Mirror falls into place just before Rise of the Dread Moon. But Ragnar's story gets convoluted as his redemption arc is in Wizards of Morcar after his treachery in Rise of the Dread Moon. I don't understand why Ragnar would even get involved in Elven affairs, nor does he explain the reason for his treachery as he only said "I had to."

It seems like Jungles of Delthrak would happen AFTER Wizards of Morcar as the conclusion MIGHT reflect upon the Blight. I'm not sure if this is just my mind trying to make sense of the epilogue, but nobody else seems to want to address this possible connection.
Just the same, the boons awarded in Wizards of Morcar would be immensely helpful in Frozen Horror & Mage of the Mirror, not that I play them as written anyway, but 4 sets of spells and extra body points would give the Wizard more to do.

I got mine today from amazon. I didn’t even get a chance to open it yet. I did preorder from them awhile ago. I was wondering if others were getting their copies early.

Yeah I ordered on Amazon first day but they were still showing Feb 17 release date this week. So I ordered from BBTS and my copy is coming Sunday. I wonder if it's a regional thing with Amazon? Like certain regions are getting theirs earlier than others.

Yeah, mine came in too yesterday. Amazon kept saying February 17 until the day before when it changed to "arriving tomorrow."

Re: WIZARDS OF MORCAR discussion

After examining the cards for this expansion, they seem to be closer in size to the cards in First Light and probably the normal Game System as well.

I posted in the RotDM topic that the cards in that expansion were slightly larger in size than the cards from FL and cards from the Mythic tier stuff (character spells and such). I noticed this when I tried to mix the treasure cards from the expansion into the FL treasure deck. The new cards were large enough to make riffle shuffling more difficult, and you could see which cards were expansion cards. The difference was slight but noticeable when handled as well. I think most people never noticed because a lot of people sleeve their cards. As a result, I had to sleeve my treasure cards so they would match in size.

Out of curiosity I compared WoM cards to FL as well, and they seem much better than RotDM. I can still see a minor difference when holding the stack of mixed cards to the light, I can’t feel a difference while handling them. So maybe hasbro fixed the manufacturing error. I believe the MotM cards have a similar issue but I haven’t really compared the cards the same way because I happened to be using sleeved treasure cards at the time (from my normal GS, not FL). JoD in contrast seems to match the FL card size, but I should double check to be sure.

This was a boring post, but some might find it useful.
