Totally with you on that one. Not everybody is going to want to pre-order it (and have it sit on the shelf for six months before you actually get to playing it!). I don't pre-order. If you can find a deal, more power to ya!

Just received a "shipping soon" notice from Hasbro for both POT and SQT. People on Reddit mentioned that their ship dates had been moved up from the 15th. So some people should be receiving them this week

The only thing I'm curious about is if they fixed the errors in the quest maps.
The different color monsters don't particularly interest me and I really have to wonder if they're including an arena tile. I know Spirit Queen's Torment didn't get any because they particularly didn't need any based on the maps, but there are a few quests here that need additional tiles. Otherwise they'll be lazying through this quest pack.

We didn't see any tiles at all in the unboxings from SPIEL ESSEN 23, sadly.

There are cards, dice, monsters, a hero, and the quest book inside each box.

After some inner discussion I'm not getting this. Not amused by the content, I'm bot interested in the warlock because I never liked it miniature and the gnome/halfling thing and just reusing a gargoyle for his demon form is a lazy meh. I have a quite bettee proxie for the warlock and his demon form so dont need it. I like the dices and bright miniatures are ok I suppose but they only have use in one quest and you have goblins but they are not in the quest... for me is a lost oportunity and unles it ends on clearance Ill pass.

This situation reminds me of KK and RotWL back in the day. Alot of people passed because there were no new minis but later picked them up for completeness sake after the game was discontinued. I figure picking them up now would be better then hunting for them later even though I'm not thrilled with the contents.

I am curious if the quests will be fixed at all as the GenCon tapes suggest that AH are not focused on errata as they are new product. And they kept saying "home brewing correction for mistakes is part of the game." I think the books will have minor adjustments only (like spelling)

But those have a bunch of tiles. Should they have inserted a Arena tile on it and Ill be in. I have a translated fan made edition of the Questbook and a core game, and Ive sent to print a fanmade Arena tile. I dont need anything more from this and will only pick it at discount (if...). Didnt really like what they did here so I vote with my wallet.

The lack of an arena tile is really just unforgivable. If it didn't fit in the box as one piece then they could have split it into two or more pieces. It didn't even need a new design, just copy/paste a load of existing plain floor tiles together. Anything to get rid of the walls you are supposed to just ignore.

I'm with Cornixt on this one. I want to collect them all, but they only seem to have put in minimal effort on this one... Spirit Queen's Torment too. Though, as a fan, I'm intrigued by the red gargoyle, there's nothing in this Quest Pack that I really want.

I think that's taking it a bit too far. My take away was more to do with players who disagreed with the lore (or wanted to take it in a different direction, or add complexity, or play according to an older ruleset) as opposed to deliberately making sloppy mistakes and refusing to correct them. Into the Northlands was made precisely to fix issues pointed out by fans in Frozen Horror (since it was too late to fix them in the box itself). Mage of the Mirror contained fixes based on fan feedback in the box.

What they're unwilling to do is tell players they can't use Warhammer pieces or storylines, or they can't have clerics and divinities or explain every last detail of why Sir Ragnar became a traitor, the fate of various escaped bad guys, and so on.

SQT author Teos Abadia came on these very forums to show where a missing door belonged (and they re-added the missing door from ROTWL). So I think we'll see corrections (but I wouldn't expect a complete rewrite or any new quests).
