There are 102 game cards according to the back of the box.
I don't think they left out ANYTHING from the 2021/2022 game system. Think about it... to maintain comparability, they have to include ALL Of the spells and the artifacts even the ones that are not used in these 10 quests, because of other expansions that will need them. I could be wrong of course...
I highly doubt there will be any "Alchemist Shop" at the start with images of cards that don't exist physically in the box as well or new artifacts at the end of the booklet. (would people be upset again if there were images but no actual cards?)
The previous GS had 4 reference cards, granted they were different looking than the FL ones. Maybe First Light has only one of these cards instead of one for each hero?
But otherwise there doesn't seem to be any room for any new cards out of that count.
Of course at GenCon I saw dupes of various Equipment cards, just like the GS. But are there still 3 helmets, 3 shields, 2 battle axes, 2 crossbows, and 2 longswords? If they eliminated some of those dupes they would have room for things like the Hearthkin Horn to have a card, or Dread Flame, etc.
Then again do those "new" dread spells need cards? Strictly speaking, no, as those abilities are described in the quests where they are needed, similar to how without giving too much away, Rise of the Dread Moon had a boss character with new magical powers that were just in the notes, not on cards. In MOTM Sinestra never had a card in the original (they ran out of room on the sheet; but the remake never bothered to add it).
Now of course PoT and CoPD infamously added abilities that had no card (like a Lighting Bolt spell scroll) which WERE added in the retail versions.
But I think unless the card number is off, we're probably NOT going to get any new cards in this box, as disappointing as that might sound. I hope I'm wrong, for the sake of everyone who wanted that. I'd rather see a few new things (besides the obvious Dragon card) rather than just more dupes (since cards don't limit the supply of Equipment, or Artifacts for that matter... cards are more for reference to write things down on your sheet... unless a random draw is required, then having more than one copy of something is helpful but this is a rare thing outside of the Treasure Deck).
